Cartman Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 For some reason every time I try to go to any search site like google, yahoo, ask.com, etc...I get taken to some site called cPanel. This sounds like a Hijack problem to me, but I have no clue how to get rid of it. Norton doesnt see any virus or anything... Help me!
Guest Scotsman Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Get Spybot Search & Destroy and that should fix it. If not, post again and we'll go from there.
MrRant Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 If Spybot doesn't work then delete your HOSTS file and reboot. Just do a search on your computer for a file called HOSTS.
Cartman Posted October 7, 2003 Author Report Posted October 7, 2003 Spybot I also have tried before and doesnt work... I searched for HOSTS and got several different files/folder etc. Should I delete them ALL?
MrRant Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 Just the one that say HOSTS. There should only be one. Just delete that ONLY THAT ONE.
Cartman Posted October 7, 2003 Author Report Posted October 7, 2003 I did that, still the same shit goin on
MrRant Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 Follow these instructions: http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp...&virus_k=100719
