eirejmcmahon 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2003 I don't agree with the positive spin you tend to put on all things NWATNA Bryan but I do enjoy reading your FTO columns. I think it'd be a suicidal move for NWATNA to build a big event around Hulk Hogan if all he's willing to give them is a verbal agreement. To answer your question, "What's in it for Hogan ?" Well, if the NWATNA bods build around Hogan but don't have him locked into a written contract, then he's in the perfect position to get himself back into the WWE. He doesn't have to prove he's a draw to do it either, you think Vince could resist swooping him out from under the noses of NWATNA on the eve of their big night ? NWATNA have to get his name on a piece of paper, otherwise they're setting themselves up for a huge fall.

Would you rather all columns had the same 100% negative focus on the current wrestling scene? Someone has to make us suspend a tiny enough part of our discontent to look forward to watching a show. And negative outlooks, if sometimes completlely accurate, are repetitive and not really saying anything you haven't heard before. So, if TNA gets Hogan to sign a contract of some sort, he can't go back on his word unless he wants TNA to sue him? If there's actual news they got a written deal off from him, that'd feel pretty damn reassuring.
HandofFate 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2003 WHOO HOO!! Another FTO column. Good job again. For future reference, I think that the format that you used on this one (i.e., no format) works. You are missing one thing though....the hilarious picture that you would leave us with. I always looked forward to that. lol
eirejmcmahon 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2003 So, if TNA gets Hogan to sign a contract of some sort, he can't go back on his word unless he wants TNA to sue him? Exactly. Trusting to his word, given the character he's displayed in the past, wouldn't be the wisest of moves.
