Former Ring of Honor star Paul London debuted at the Smackdown tapings in Hartford, CT tonight. London was involved in a backstage vignette with Vince McMahon, setting up a scheduled WWE championship match against Brock Lesnar.

London, trained by Ivan Putski and Rudy Boy Gonzales, was signed by WWE this past July to a developmental deal. He was briefly in OVW before being brought up to the main roster to work The Smackdown house shows and dark matches with Spanky.

London was considered the first "homegrown" star in the Pennsylvania-based Ring of Honor promotion, had appeared on PPV for NWA TNA, and had toured in Japan with Zero-One prior to his signing.

Last time I saw London in WWE, he got his ass handed to him by Matt Hardy on Velocity a couple of months ago. ;) It was a good match.

HEY!!! What did I tell you kids about post whoring in the spoilers thread!?!?!

Oh, you've done it now! I want you to all go to bed and no spoilers for you tonight. GOT IT?

I agree. Jesus christ this meaningless shit is annoying. There should be one, MAYBE two posts before the actual spoilers, then posts discussing them. You idiots are wasting my time with talking about sleeping with someone's mom and useless crap.

God damn.

Smackdown Spoilers:

Hi guys, I just got back from Smackdown. We had a capacity crowd, and they were really pumped. I was on the camera side of the building, about halfway up the lower seats. I had on a yellow shirt, with a big Hulk Foam Hand and a couple of red signs. Maybe you'll see me.

Smackdown Spoilers:

A short backstage viginette. Eddy Guerrero was talking to Sidney Poitier about the dangers of mountian-top mining in West Virginia. I was confused.

Chris Benoit came down to a huge pop from the crowd. He carried with him a brown briefcase. He got into the ring and asked for a mic. He kept smiling that toothless grin, and I knew he was up to something. He stated that after last weeks match with A-Train, he felt that A-Train had proved his point. He acknowledged, "Yes, A-train can beat Chris Benoit. Congratulations."

Then he said, "You may have beat me at wrestling Train, but you can't conquer me when it comes to my true talent, TAP." He then reached into the suitcase, pulled out a picture of Gregory Hines and a pair of shiny black tap shoes. He kissed the picture, and slipped on the tap shoes. Benoit has ugly feet lol.

Benoit called for his music, and he started tap dancing. Wow, he was great. After about three minutes of this, the STEAM BLEW, and A-Train ran out. He grabbed a mic.

"Benoit, no you don't, no you FKing don't. We all know who the real King of Dance is.." Then A-Train started break-dancing. I kid you not. Bnoit, not to be outdone, tapped even harder, at one point I thought he had blown out his Quad.

At once point, Paul London came out, and handed some documents to Cole and Tazz.

A-Train stewed in the corner. Seconds after Benoit finished (Standing ovation from crowd), the lights went out. When they came on, SCOTTY TOO HOTTY WAS STANDING IN THE RING. Benoit was laid out by a turnbuckle (where he laid for several minutes afterwards, when all of a sudden, he hopped up and ran away, roaring like a T-Rex). A-Train had his head firmly stuck under the ring with a knights helmet inexpicably stuck in his ass.

Then Scotty did The Worm, and I have to admit, I marked like a motherfucker. Then, for some reason, Vince McMahon ran out, kicked Benoit in the ribs, nd left. I guess he needed his TV time. Fink came out, thanked us for coming out, and reminded us to visist the merch. stand before we left.

God damn.

And just two minutes after making this astute and very accurate observation, even more useless shit got posted.

Keep trollin' trollin' trollin' trollin', guys.

Here's a quick recap: Dark matches saw Jamie Noble pin Tony Mamaluke in 6:11; Rhyno & Sean O' Haire beat Danny Doring & Arch Kincaid in 4:32. For Velocity, it was Rey Mysterio pinning Kanyon in 7:19; Matt Hardy pinning Tyson Dux in 4:30; Kidman pinning Bobby Rude in 4:24; and Charlie Haas beating FUnaki by submission.

SmackDown begins w/Linda McMahon in the ring. She goes on and on about the goings on as of late in the McMahon family. She said she tried to talk sense into Vince, and that obviously hasn't worked. Stephanie came out, wondering why the match has to go on. This brought out Vince. He doesn't get why Linda is here in the first place. During the segment, Vince adds a stip, where if he loses to Steph, he'll resign his position as chairman of WWE. Sable came out, and she offered her services, to be in Vince's corner at No Mercy. Linda responds, saying "Sable offers her serivces very freely". Sable gives Linda a weak looking kick to the gut, and Steph spears Sable and a catfight ensues. Vince shoves Steph of Sable, and clotheslines her. End of segment.

In a NON-TITLE match, Tajiri pinned Ultimo Dragon in 3:40. Mysterio was ringside doing commentary, and gave Tajiri the 619 after the match.

Undertaker pin Chuck Palumbo in 2:04. The FBI had a 3-on-1 going, and Taker held them off. Brock Lesnar jumped in thru the crowd, and attacked Taker. He went to hit Taker with a chair, but Taker punched the chair with a chain wrapped around his fist.

Vince & Sable were watching the monitor in the back, w/Vince mad he didn't get to one-up Taker. There was a knock on the door, and it was Paul London, introducing himself. He asked Vince if he can wrestle tonight. Vince said yes, and he said London would get a title shot tonight vs Lesnar. Side note- London was billed as being from Hartford from some reason.

Big Show pinned Orlando Jordan in 2:19 Eddie Guerrero was interviewed backstage, and Show wound up attacking him.

Next up was a "Battle Rap", with John Cena vs Kurt Angle. This was really funny. Cena did his rap, and had a lot of people behind him. Instead of rapping, Kurt told a story, and mentioned how Cena is trying to be black, among other things. Kurt ends up fighting w/Cena.

Shannon Moore pin Zach Gowen in 4:39 Taker was shown coming out of Steph's office smiling, and snickering as well.

In the WWE title match, Lesnar pinned Paul London in 1:34 , in what was a total squash. Brock continued to beat up London, which brought out Spanky. Lesnar threw Spanky into the ring post back first, which looked pretty scary. Taker came out, and told Lesnar he had friends in high places. He also said the title match at No mercy is now a "Biker Chain" match. A lot of the crowd left at this point, thinking the show was over.

It might as well have ended there. We were then "treated" to a 6-man of A-Train and the Basham Brothers beating Chris Benoit & APA in 4:48.

Finally, Chavo calls out Big Show. Show comes out in a suit, saying he's dressed to kill, and he's not wrestling. Chavo calls Show a chicken. Show wins by countout in 44 seconds, as Chavo walked out of the ring. Suddenly, Eddie comes out.....in a septic truck. After a couple minutes, Eddie sprays Show with poop, coming from the hose of the truck. The show ends with Show laying in a puddle of poop. All in all, a really "crappy" show.

The other crappy thing was the attendence. The 200's were 80% blocked off, the 300's were closed off entirely, and even a couple sections in the 100's were blocked off. The crowd was probably about 5,000 or so. Awful crowd, and not a very good show either.

Of course he's a gimmick. Someone created him in response to the poster HulkHogan, who goes around various threads.

FARK has gimmick posters, too.

Wow, only getting 5,000 people in the heart of WWE, that is a bad sign.

If I wasn't at school, I would of gone, so maybe all of the wrestling fans were at school.
