Nevermortal Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 My cookies are stored on my C drive...however, its a small drive and it frequently drops down to 0 MB because that's where windows is. Is there anyway I could relocate the cookies folder to one of my other drives?
Guest Fook Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 If you have IE6, Right click on the IE icon and go to Properties Click on Settings Click on Move Folder
Nevermortal Posted October 9, 2003 Author Report Posted October 9, 2003 If you have IE6, Right click on the IE icon and go to Properties Click on Settings Click on Move Folder I did the first step but when I right click on Properties...nothing having to do with settings comes up for me, and I have IE 6.
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 You might be clicking on a shortcut to IE, which won't have the options you're looking for. Inside IE (assuming you are using it.) Click Tools -> Internet Options, then do what's been listed.
Nevermortal Posted October 9, 2003 Author Report Posted October 9, 2003 You can move your Temporary Internet Files to another drive, but not cookies.
MrRant Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Cookies are stored in the Temporary Internet Files. Also you can just once a day click on Tools->Internet Options-> Delete Cookies. Cookies don't take up much space as they are only text files so that would be odd if they are taking up so much space. Reduce the amount of space used for the Temporary Internet Files.
