Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted October 10, 2003 When Sable came out on Smackdown after WM 19 to jump into a fued with Torrie, some people questioned whether she was worth it. After signing old star after old star Sable didn't look like anything special (for the record, Stiener, Hogan, and Piper failed miserably, with Goldberg being the only one who could draw money). And to ad evidence to that, her fued with Wilson lasted a matter of weeks and didn't go anywhere. Now look where we are. Six months and Sable STILL hasn't done anything. The only role she's been doing is the manditory "Vince Mcmahon's whore" thing, and she's done even less than the other ones have. Don't you think it's high time they fire her surgically-repaired ass? Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 I've already seen her naked, I never gave two shits about her in the first place, so she has nothing left to offer me. Plus she's on Linda level as an actress. There are so many better ways to waste money.
Guest Maccam16 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 I think they're keeping her because she quit and came back looking for a job. I'm probably right because Vince, as we all know, is a vindictive ass.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Just be happy that Vince is having "sexual relations" with someone his own age....
Gert T 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Vince just has more surgically altered T&A to live out his fantasies as Mr. McMahon, and yeah if he can degrade her while he's at it, he'll keep her for awhile.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Sable has NEVER been worth it.
Guest Adrian 3:16 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Eh, Sable's harmless. Its not like the Hogan situation where the shows were essentially revolved around him. I don't care how Vince decides to throw his money around, as long as it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the show. Watching Smackdown and seeing never ending feuds, boring title hunts, father/daughter matches, Linda promos, and Eddie being made to shoot shit at the Big Show all rank as affecting my enjoyment more than Sable standing around doing nothing. Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Sable + all of the McMahons makes even ME not to care about watching their segments. Fuck it, I refused to do so tonight. That's coming from...ME.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 She's seemingly just around to have cat fights with Stephanie every few shows, which will probably last until one of their breast implants explodes in the melee.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Its not Sable's fault, blame the bookers / writers Besides we know Torrie can't wrestle anyway
Guest renegade v.1 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 wwe needs to sit down and re think its course, the signing of new old talent just isn't working, hogan, piper, and steiner have all failed and its just a matter of time before goldberg fails. Sable also needs to go the only way she is hanging on is that vince is being shown with her night after night after night on smackdown. They either need to sit down with out having HHH in the room and rethink and review the way things are going.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 I wouldn't have ANY of the females active on TV in any central role if it wasn't in an actual wrestling match, and even then I'd ONLY allow the ones who, you know, know how to WRESTLE to do so. For people like Sable, Torrie, Stacey, and all of the others, I'd have them to ONLY be valets, and NEVER being a central character. Today's product could learn a lot from Miss Elizabeth. She played the role of valet perfectly, and when she became more of a focus, it was still allowing for the wrestlers to be in the central roles.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 I don't really have any problem with Sable being Vince's designated whore of the month. But the thing that blows my mind is the fact that they apparently haven't given any thought to resigning Mark Mero, despite the OBVIOUS angles they could do. Let's see: 1. Vince is now fucking his wife (or is it now ex wife?). 2. Brock Lesnar is using his old TKO as a finisher and calling it the F5. How hard could it be to come up with some decent angles out of that? ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 2. Brock Lesnar is using his old TKO as a finisher and calling it the F5. Actually, the TKO and the F5 aren't exactly the same. The TKO spins somone behind you, and you do a jawbreaker from that. The F5 you spin someone in front of you. As for Marc Mero returning...not likely. Remember, he lost the match to Duane "Not Quite Gillberg Yet" Gill...with the stipulation that if he lost, in his words, "You would never see the Marvelous one again!" Besides, Mero was more fun, IMO, as Johnny B. Badd.
Guest Loss Report post Posted October 10, 2003 "They either need to sit down with out having HHH in the room and rethink and review the way things are going." Where is this room you speak of? What room is it? This is one point HHH made in an interview a little while back that I actually agreed with, which is that ideas are tossed around constantly, not just in closed-door meetings once a week. They can sit down and rethink things in a meeting where HHH isn't present, but things will change immediately once the details start getting modified. That's just wrestling, I'm afraid. Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 10, 2003 Sable is Sable - to be honest, i have no problem with how she's being used. I think Stephanie vs. Sable feud was fine. Where its positioned on the card is bad - its higher than the freaking main events sometime. (the vince/steph shit she's involved in) nikO
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted October 11, 2003 I agree with niko, the only sin of hiring Sable is that she doesn't really draw at all. She takes nothing away from the product on the whole.
