Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2003 MSN Chat Soon to be a subscription service Sign up for MSN Chat for just $19.95 per year and get 40MB of online storage, virus protection, and more. That averages out to only $1.67/month! In order to protect you from spam, unwanted conversations, and advertisements, MSN® Chat will become a subscription service on October 14, 2003. While you may enter any chat room you like, you must be a subscriber to participate. If you subscribe to any other MSN service, you'll automatically get MSN Chat. The excuse for this is fucking bullshit and as I have AOL and we still have the very same problems on there. I hope this flops ASAP.

Guest EQ Report post Posted October 16, 2003 I've never found chat rooms to be anything but little 13/14 year olds pretending to be little 16/17 year olds with horrible typing skills and nothing relevant to say.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2003 Yahoo is full of porn bots, kids wanting to cyber in the wrestling room, kids wanting to be street in the NBA room, and Viking marks in the NFL room.
Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2003 That doesn't just apply to Yahoo, Raza. You just described every mainstream chat service in existence. Anyway. Although I don't particularly like MSN doing this, I do understand their reasons. At the very least, they're bundling webspace and other stuff with the chat service, which makes it a little more worthwhile. Maybe the new measures will also help to get rid of some of the clueless dimwits you always run into, which is okay in my book. Were I still addicted to chat rooms I'd probably pay.
