Guest Choken One Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 well Austin cut a long promo pretty much saying he was done if I recall and had it on the site for a good chunk of time...
Guest Choken One Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 The thing that gets about this is that I can actually see a potentially GOOD angle in this but I can't trust the wwe braintrust to follow up on it... It's not the best angle to do...Wrestler Vs Authority but it's a slight twist as the HEEL is the wrestler and the authority used to be the anti establishment hell raiser... Jericho subtlely hinted at Austin's hypocrasiy over the last two weeks...and he's slowly getting a large support group behind him... The angle would be great if Austin could still perform meaning we could get something out of this... At least they decided to let Jericho carry this puppy and not Orton or something... I don't know if you noticed this but Jericho is pretty much carryin 6 people with him right now and is working it.
Damaramu Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 the Wifebeater whom gets forgiven by the Millions of fans and the hundreds on here just because he entertains them. wrestle...and Steiner can Barely wrestle as it is. Well by most people's logic Shawn Michaels was one of the biggest pieces of shit ever but we should still love him because he was a great wrestler. Witness Austin whom is a better wrestler than Michaels and is actually a piece of shit in real life. Using the HBK standard we should forgive him b/c he's a great wrestler. But wait we can't!? Why? *gasp* Don't tell me there's a DOUBLE STANDARD here!

Damaramu Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 I'm not referring to you personally. I'm referring to the board overall.
Guest ManKinnd Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 Damaramu, do you just use the word "whom" randomly, because it sure seems it? I really hate to be the grammer nerd, but this has been bothering me. Sometimes you use it correctly, but it's "who" when the person being the "who" is the subject of the sentece, and "whom" if he/she is the direct object. Ex. He is the one who did it. Whom do you think did it?
Lord of The Curry Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 When was Austin begging for the IWC's forgivness regarding his personal problems? Honestly, people sometimes think that their opionions actually mean something.......

One of my teachers came to me and said: "Wow you're a great writer...but sometimes you use some weird grammar. And sometimes it's just flat out wrong. How do you expect to make it as a writer like that?" "Well....that's what I have an editor for!" "Well can't argue that logic. Keep up the good work!" I ended up getting an A in that class....
cabbageboy Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 Austin is a different type piece of shit than Shawn though. While Shawn was a dipshit who refused to job, was a whiner, and general shit stirrer....I don't recall him beating his wife or anything. I can't help but think that the Austin/Stacy incident last night will have some kind of repercussions in the storyline. As in Linda will come out and say Austin is letting his violent tendencies against women from his home life spread into the workplace, and this will be a good reason to fire him as GM.
Guest Choken One Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 have they even MENTIONED the wife beating in WWE?
Slayer Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 have they even MENTIONED the wife beating in WWE? Do they ever say anything negative about Austin? And anyone who does get off a nice insult usually just gets countered with a slur of "hell damn ass sonofabitch and that's the bottom line..." and/or a stunner

I'm Stonecold Steve Austin! You don't scare me! HIT ME YOU SON OF A BITCH!"
Guest Choken One Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 dont forget "You walk around and flap your gums"
MillenniumMan831 Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 God, I wish Jesse Ventura would have been in the booth with JR. JR: Steiner's gonna abuse that poor Stacy with the DAMNED chair!!! Jesse: Well, ya know . . . she needs to be put in her place Ross. (Stone Cold's theme hits) JR: STONE COLD! STONE COLD!! STONE COLD!!! Jesse: SHUT UP Ross, everybody know he's here! (Austin attacks Steiner) Jesse: This is what you call an authority figure?!? He has no business in the ring, he should be doing paperwork, checking on Kane's condition . . . JR: BUT BAH GAWD, Steiner was gonna attack Stacy. Jesse: No he wasn't, you're disgraceful! JR: Austin just did what was right! (Austin stuns Stacy) JR: STONE COLD! STONE COLD!! STONE COLD!!! He's unpredictable! Jesse: THE HELL ARE YOU TALKIN' ABOUT?!? Oh, so when it's one of your favorites attacks a woman, it's unpredictable! When it's someone else, it's abusive. This show is making me sick, I'M OUTTA HERE!!! (Jesse leaves and quits that night) I guess The Body wouldn't last too long commentating Raw after all.

Good enough for me.
Guest Choken One Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 I totally agree, if the content is good, let some one else do the pretty stuff like punctuation and grammer...
EdwardKnoxII Posted October 15, 2003 Author Report Posted October 15, 2003 Actually, he was provoked. Steiner pushed Stacy into Austin, which he would take as provocation. Still, it was the dumbest fucking thing I'd seen all night. All the effort to save her, and he hits her. I really don't think it counts as provocation because, Stacy was pushed into Austin by someone else against her will. She didn't touch Austin own freewill like Steiner did.
Highland Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 Jesse is probably the only person that could save the Raw announce team at this point. Vince: Fire JR and King and replace them with The "Body"
EdwardKnoxII Posted October 15, 2003 Author Report Posted October 15, 2003 I think Coach and Snow did a good job for the short time there were on RAW when they didn't have to pimp their angle. And after this past Monday I was really wishing for those two to be back.
