BUT, it is a competition where I can win a vacation to California. Is there a way to get that surfer California looking hair that you see now a days. The competition is to see who can get the California look the best by Spring Break without cheating. And that means no going to professionals to get it done or anything like that. The people in this competition all live together so we know if someone cheats but my question is, is this even possible without altering your hair in some way? It seams pretty impossible but Im taking all suggestions.

I don't know if they have this in other malls, but in a mall near me there is this store which sells surfer clothes or like beach wear for CA and Hawaii.

Guest Italian Stallion Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 We are all room mates. Well everyone that is in the contest live together and we live in the same apartment complex. So it would be pretty obvious if your gone for one hour and your have curly hair. I had a friend who wore a hat for a looong time. His hair got a little curly after a while. I dont know if thats a way but I have till Spring Break.
Guest stardust Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Um, if you can't actually dye your hair or put chemical highlights in it, use lemon juice, and tell your roommates that you're using it to get rid of your dry scalp (which lemon juice really DOES help get rid of dry scalp, plus it also conditions). If you use it often enough, combined with some sun exposure, you should start to at least get highlights. As for the curly thing, just let it grow out, that seems to work for most guys.
The Metal Maniac Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 It worked for me. I think I have what you'd call surfer hair, only brown, because I'm against dying my hair. It's about long enough to reach my mouth, but it tends to curl a bit (especially in the back) near the bottom, which is probably because I never put any real effort into combing. But it's not cuz I wanted surfer hair - I just somehow look better with shaggy-ass hair, or so I'm told. Plus I fucking HATE getting haircuts. I always look like a chump afterwards. So, in conclusion, I'm a shaggy fucking hippy.
