syxx2001 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 They dont pay to watch wrestling, they pay to see someone get their ass kicked. Two "hosses" make that look better than two "wrestlers" exchanging submissions.
Guest dvkorn Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Because he's a prick backstage and sucked in the ring. The man speaks the truth
Guest TDinDC1112 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 but Sanders had some great mic skills back in his WCW days. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man reigns supreme.

They should cater to what their current fanbase wants and when they expand grow a larger fanbase, cater to the majority.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 For once, Game is right. That doesn't mean they shouldn't still push Abyss though...he's good.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 I wonder if I'm the only one who sees a goldmine in a CM Punk-Hulk Hogan feud. There's nothing wrong with building hosses, but if you plan on gaining a loyal following, good matches are generally a good idea.

There's nothing wrong with building hosses, but if you plan on gaining a loyal following, good matches are generally a good idea. CM Punk will seriously look like a midget standing next to Hulk Hogan. Do you have any idea how small Punk is and how big Hogan is? CM Punk is NOTHING in TNA. He hasn't been booked as anything but a lacky/jobber. Why should he have anything to do with the "greatest" wrestler ever?
Michrome 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 The fact that they have booked him like morons does not mean they can't change it. His promo work in RoH is the best I've seen since Cactus Jack in ECW, he is a freaking heat machine, and the straight-edge gimmick with promos on Hogan's steroids would be *incredible*. The idea that you can only have people that are big, established names be main eventers is the idea that drove WCW into the ground. Should the main event be Dusty Rhodes vs. Hulk Hogan? They're both well known, it will surely draw money! EVERYONE in TNA is going to be small next to Hogan save a small few. Let's think back, say, 5 years ago. "There's no money in Rock-Austin, Rock's just a midcard IC Title guy" Give me a break.

"There's no money in Rock-Austin, Rock's just a midcard IC Title guy" Give me a break. 1. In 1996, the WWF already knew that Rock was going to be one of their top 3 stars in 2000. 2. I'm not saying you have to have big guys on top. What I'm saying is you can't have big and small guys together - it looks horrible. Remember when Lo Ki was in there with Brian Lee? He looked like a little kid. Wrestling is about suspending belief and thinking what you are seeing is real. It's not realistic for someone 5'9" who weighs 180 to beat someone who's 6'6" and weighs 300.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 If you have a guy that can be such an obnoxious dickhead, it works in his favor to be small. People will just be dying for the big guy to kick his ass.
Guest jpclemmons Report post Posted October 21, 2003 hey Jack, are those Aussie V8's on your aviatar?? those guys can race down under.
Guest JacK Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Indeed they are the Aussie V8 Supercars, the leading holden teams, or my favourites as least. Better than the damn fords, anyway. And they certainly do race like champs, even if the stewards try and ruin it by wussying it up. And they're on this weekend! The Surfers Indy Round! It's all good, even with the severely messed up points system, because Murphy can still win! Although, having said that, next year therz a round in China of all places, to go with New Zealand, so they may not be Aussie V8's for all that longer. And stop bagging Sanders! He's not THAT bad. He may be a prick backstage, but none of you have to put up with him backstage! Other's can do that for you! That's the beauty of watching on TV!
