Guns N Roses New Album

Recommended Posts

You're thinking if 'Live Era', which is a compliation of GNR live performances from the 80's to the early 90's. The album flopped considerably and could be one of the many reasons Axl is so hesitant to release C.D.

Live Era is a great album... no fucking clue why it flopped.

Agreed, awesome representation of how good GNR were live, however would it of killed them to give the performances of the songs in chronological order? I mean, the whole album has just been thrown together without much effort at all, the only fact it rocks is due to who is performing.

Plus, more shit from GNR's beginning would of ruled, as GNR absolutely ripped it up live when they were starting out back in the mid to late 80's and were truly a sound to behold.

The live version of Estranged blows my mind on that album. Unreal stuff that.

Agreed, although it is too bad they did not include the live version of Coma as they did on the Japanese version.

Amazon already pulled the CD, let this be a lesson. NEVER tease diehard GN'R fans with the possibility of Chinese Democracy.

This is unrelated, but:

I was watching a presentation for Music Appreciation on Guns N' Roses, and here's the information the group gave:

-Formed in 1975

-Members include: Izzy the Strangler, Duff Mack, Saul Hudson aka Buckethead on Bass, Dizzy Reed

-Made only one album, Uzi Suicide

-Played last show at Woodstock '97

-Some guy named slash auditioned but was turned down

-Best known for charity works

-Tension arose from Axl's addiction to chocolate

I tried to correct them, by asking a few questions:

-Wasn't there a guy named, Steven Adler? Who's that?

-Have you listened to Apettite or Use Your Illusion? Those were never released.

-What charities? They simply sat down.

Thanks to me, the teacher changed their grade from an A to a C-.

Can't even comment on the ridiculousness of that, lol.

On another note, since they were going to release a "Best Of" CD, but the track listing was god awful (5 cover songs?), what songs would you guys have put on there? Avoid cover songs, and don't list any more then 14 songs. I tried to make it as commercial as possible, otherwise "Rocket Queen, "Don't Damn Me", "Coma", "Locomotive", "Breakdown" and "One In A Million" so would've been on there.

1. Welcome To The Jungle

2. It's So Easy

3. Mr. Brownstone

4. Paradise City

5. Sweet Child Of Mine

6. Patience

7. Don't Cry (Original)

8. November Rain

9. Dead Horse

10. Garden Of Eden

11. Civil War

12. Yesterdays

13. You Could Be Mine

14. Estranged

If they would have stood up any longer, I would asked about the MTV 2002 VMAs.
