Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Jericho/Giant in WCW before both guys left. What was the deal with that "friendship"? They never explained, but Jericho caught on and starting ordering Giant around. Eventually Jericho wanted him to beat up an NWO member (I think it was Bagwell), who was fighting Jericho in the main event of Saturday Night. Giant chokeslammed Jericho instead, and the angle was dropped.
Guest Report post Posted April 7, 2002 "Second, I fucking remember that Bulldog/Mankind deal with the pole, but I don't, lol. Can someone give a description of when this happened and stuff? I remember seeing super imposed shots of the person who pushed Mankind with the pole and stuff." This was when Triple H had to win three out of five matches in one night in order to be included in the six pack challenge for the Heavyweight title. One of the matches was a boiler room brawl with Mankind. Mick had Hunter down at one point and was about to jump off of some object or another to drop an elbow on him, but a 'mysterious' person pushed him with a pole which caused him to fall and lose the match. It was never said on television (that I can remember) who had used the pole, but I can buy it being Bulldog (especially if Russo says so) because Bulldog had forged an alliance with Triple H going into the six pack challenge. Hope that clears a bit up for you.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Regarding the mole thing- Everyone thought Test was the mole cause he was friends with Shane. After the APA and company beat him up Sgt. Slaughter said Test was with him at MSG or something. After ECW came back Paul E revealed he was the mole. In the buildup to Survivor Series Vince said Austin was gonna turn back to the WWF and cost the Alliance the match. He got stunnered. It turns out Angle was the guy who did it and his whole turn had just been to fool everyone.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Ahhh, it helps a fucking load, LoganHex. I appreciate you taking the time and typing that up. I remember it now very well. For some reason, I thought it was in 1996, but like I said, I remember it now.

Guest raptor Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Was the Benoit/Malenko/Guerrero thing the aborted "Armaggedon" angle? From what I've read, this was a New Blood-esque angle that would've but those three and some other young talent up against the nWo and older wrestlers. Apparently, that idea scared the hell out of Hogan, Nash, and Bischoff.
Guest Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Chain of confusion........ 1. Vince has an affair with Trish that causes Linda to go insane and be placed in a mental hospital 2. Shane (the face) is sick of the way he's treating his mother so he's gets revenge by purchasing WCW. 3. Regal and Vince try to prevent WCW from having matches on RAW and Smackdown, but Linda (apparently no longer insane) overides them and allows WCW to have matches on WWF television. 4. Shane helps DDP punk out Undertaker thus turning himself and WCW heel. 5. Regal turns on face Kurt Angle and becomes commisioner of the heel Alliance 6. Linda (still a face mind you) announces that Mick Foley will become the new commisioner of the WWF because of Regal's actions 7. Shane and Steph assualt Linda because she's a face, even though Linda is the reason Shane was allowed to have the Invasion on TV in the first place 8. Vince and Linda call off the divorce because the Alliance is heel and that makes them faces 9. Kurt Angle, pretending to be heel, costs a heel Stone Cold and the Alliance the victory at Survivor Series thus SAVING the FACE WWF. 10. The next night on RAW, Angle somehow remains a heel despite saving the FACE WWF from the HEEL turned face Stone Cold Steve Austin's led Alliance. ..........hope your head doesn't hurt too much I wont even get into the MANY Big Show heel turns and the logic gaps resulting in those. Not to mention Rock and Austin acting like best friends despite Rock trying to murder Austin in the past. On, and let's not forget the mysterious evening Stephanie and Kurt Angle had after Summerslam 2000. Apparently she dissapeared for a few hours after the show (room 408 at a hotel anyone?) claiming to be at the bed side of an injured Shane who was defeated by Steve Blackman in a hardcore match. And who exactly WAS sending all those flowers to Stephanie? Was it Angle like we all thought it was? Or was it a head game by Jericho? I guess we'll never know........... Guest Risk Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Wow, the WWF really sucks. But everyone already knew that.
Guest Risk Report post Posted April 7, 2002 I THINK Giant was trying to recruit Jericho into the NWO(thus getting the CW title in the fold). I assumed this because Stevie Ray knew nothing about it after Wight told him to just walk out of the match he was having with Jericho. This ended with Jericho pissing Wight off. Thus, the angle ends. Guest Anorak Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Anyone remember when Steph 'really liked' RVD for a couple of weeks and everyone predicted Triple H would bury him when he returned from injury? Another example was Rock and Trish kissing each other and teaming up for a couple of weeks to battle Vince/Angle & the Dudleys. I think the Eddie/Kat storyline which lasted for about 3 minutes on Heat was quickly stopped by Lawler.
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted April 7, 2002 The Rock and Trish hooking up really confused the fuck outta me. I think Trish got injured though, because she disappeared for a month after. What happened to Vince leaving the WWF to make Linda pregnant again? That whole "genetic jackhammer" thing was a tad odd, wasn't it? The Rock getting run down by Hogan in a monster truck and almost dying but forgiving The Hulkster in the blink of an eye. Austin tagging with HHH after turning heel and his excuse being " I want somebody that sadistic on my side." Jeez.... The Undertaker wanting respect. That shit came outta left field. X-Pac returning to the WWF as the new nWo member....wait! That's an angle that WILL be forgotten....
Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted April 7, 2002 Just thought of one, Anybody remember the feud between Jericho and Goldberg? that was a major forgotten storyline
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted April 8, 2002 Here's a few more for the file: - After HHH gets injured, Austin remarks something about how he'll do something to HHH for costing them the titles. This has never been followed up on, which is somewhat surprising giving the popularity of their great 2/3 falls match at No Way Out 2K1. - The Rock kept teasing at the Wrestlemania X-7 rematch versus Austin (once they were singing and he Rock Bottom'ed him with "The Rock will NEVER forget Wrestlemania" or something like that). I guess the reason they never followed up on this was so Chris Jericho could become the first undisputed champion, which I of course have no problem with. - This is a stupider one, but after Raven destroyed Perry Saturn's first Moppy, Saturn tagged once with Scotty 2 Hotty and debuted a "new" Moppy 2 Hotty. It was never seen again. But, in the case of The Rock vs. Austin Wrestlemania rematch, I again have no problem with this.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted April 8, 2002 Just thought of one, Anybody remember the feud between Jericho and Goldberg? that was a major forgotten storyline I think I read that Bischoff cancelled the feud because he felt Jericho wasn't ready for the push against Goldberg. That's why in an article Jericho dedicated his WCW title win to Bischoff for saying he could never do it.

I guess the reason they never followed up on this was so Chris Jericho could become the first undisputed champion, which I of course have no problem with. What? (No pun intended) Rock and Austin had talked about forgetting their past to sing a song and be buddies, so at the end of it, Rock said, "One more thing: The Rock will never, ever, forget." He was referring to their past I believe.
Guest caboose Report post Posted April 8, 2002 remember the smackdown where triple h had to win three out of five matches to qualify for the six-pack title match at unforgiven? well in one of the matches, Trips faced Foley in a boiler room brawl, during the match foley went to do a crazy dive onto the Game but someone pushed Foley off a structure and Trips won. It couldn't have been Ghyna, cos she helped Trips escape. Also who hit Austin with a cinder block a few weeks before SummerSlam1999. It was when Chyna became No.1 contender for a week. Guest papacita Report post Posted April 8, 2002 The Mankind/pole incident...now maybe I'm wrong about this, because this was a few years ago, but didn't the Bulldog join up with HHH later on that night (helping him beat the Rock in a brahma bullrope match, I think). I'm not trying to be snotty about this, but I can't see how anybody watching that show all the way through couldn't tell that the Bulldog was behind it. The last match was the Brahma bullrope match, which I think Bulldog convinced McMahon to allow him referee. He then ended up screwing the Rock.
