Guest thrall585 Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 (edited) The Legion of Doom, Virgil, Nailz, Ric Flair, Rick Martel, the Natural Disasters, the Beverly Brothers, Crush, the Berzerker, the Repo Man, the Ultimate Warrior, Kamala, Papa Shango, Rowdy Roddy Piper, the British Bulldog, Sensational Sherri, the Nasty Boys, the Mountie, Jimmy Hart, the Bushwackers, and Jim Duggan for Razor Ramon, the Steiner Brothers, Lex Luger, Ludvig Borga, the 1-2-3 Kid, Yokozuna, Jerry Lawler, Diesel, Doink, the Giant Gonzalez, the Headshrinkers, the Smoking Gunns, Marty Jannetty, Jim Cornette, Bam Bam Bigelow, and the Heavenly Bodies Reason for this is the first group was all at Summerslam 92 and none were at Summerslam 93 while the second group was all at Summerslam 93 and none were at Summerslam 92. I am wondering if you think the WWF made a good deal or not in dumping group 1 for group 2 and which group would you rather have. Edited October 25, 2003 by thrall585
Richard Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 What did Piper do at SS 92? Anyway I'd go with the first group.
El Gigante Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 What did Piper do at SS 92? Anyway I'd go with the first group. Roddy Piper came out and played the bagpipes. I would go with group 2, they came out to be more productive.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 Group 2 Flair, Piper, Bulldog and LOD are the only guys who did anything in group 1. In group 2, Luger, Razor, Diesel, Owen, Steiners and Kid ended up doing something.
ISportsFan Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 If you want to get super-technical, didn't Owen wrestle a dark match at SummerSlam 1992? Plus, he did wrestle at WM VIII for sure, which was before SS in 1992. Jason
Guest asher66 Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 I'd take group #2. More diversity and more overall talent. Of course, maybe I'm just a sucker for Giant Gonzalez.
Guest thrall585 Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 If you want to get super-technical, didn't Owen wrestle a dark match at SummerSlam 1992? No
ISportsFan Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 If you want to get super-technical, didn't Owen wrestle a dark match at SummerSlam 1992? No You're right, the dark match was at SummerSlam 1993, the show we're comparing 1992 to. But, this makes little sense since Owen had already been on PPV before (numerous times), so saying as if he was a new product at SummerSlam 1993 is very misleading. Jason
Guest thrall585 Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 Ok I'll get rid of Owen from the list and I'll add Jimmy Hart to Summerslam 92
Richard Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 I've heard that Borga was substituting for an injured Martel at SS 93
JJMc Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 I've heard that Borga was substituting for an injured Martel at SS 93 You heard right. I have a WWF mag previewing Summerslam saying that it would be Martel VS. Jannetty. Martel had been hurt for all of '93 and was set to some back around this time. He ended up coming back at a TV taping right after Summerslam. Peace. -JM
deancoles Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Razor was in the wwf before Summerslam 92.He helped Ric Flair win the title from Savage a couple of days after the event.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 I don't remember Ramon wrestling until September (when Flair won the title back with his help). That's a definite maybe person. QUICK! To Cawthons site!
deancoles Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 He made his debut on a July 20th taping.I only know about Razor because Lennox Lewis(who was Bulldog's cornerman) was going to fight Razor Ruddock in october.Vince mentioned this and Bobby Heenan asked why Lewis was boxing with Razor Ramon. Also the Headshrinkers made their debut on the same taping as Ramon.
