X ran out to save Lita because he wants to screw with Austin as well. He sees that Jericho and Trish are getting along so he thinks that maybe he could get something from Lita. He begins to bug her and send her flowers and such but she wants nothing to do with him. She makes fun of him when he's not around and such leading up to a match where she beats him.

Wow that was easy....it looks like something the WWE would do....and it only took me 30 seconds! Wow! Your ideas are really hard earned! That sucks just as bad as what you come up with!

Jericho doesn't genuinely care about it. He just sees it as another means to mess with Austin. Perhaps that's where they're going with it. Jericho won't abuse Trish, but he will use her and she'll realize it sooner or later.

Yeah, it's fine if he doesn't care. An abusive relationship makes no sense however. It would go against everything he's been doing for months. For months Jericho would lay into Austin giving the crowds logical reasons why he should be fired, why he's a hypocritical jackass, etc. It's better for him to want Austin to get fired for real reasons, instead of simply not liking him. WWE needs more shades of grey characters. It's got the asshole department already filled with Test and Steiner. I don't want to see Jericho turn into another Test.
