Guest drdrainoscott Report post Posted October 27, 2003 Bret actually remembered the location of a promo (Rockford, Illinois) and his opponent from that night (Rock) from a RAW show SIX YEARS AGO. Strokes effect different areas depending on what part of the brain is effected. So stroke victims could have their short term memory imparied but have their long term remain intact. I'm sure someone with actual medical knowledge could expand. I don't have any actual medical knowledge, but my grandpa had a stroke (actually a couple), and he basically remembers nothing from the past 60 or so years. He remembers just about nothing except for a few things that his mother taught him when he was much younger. Its very sad, but Bret is very fortunate that he had a mild stroke. cbacon 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2003 Stupid question. Would he wrestle Hogan in TNA? Geez.
Invictus 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2003 Haha, a lame TNA mark with the question about Bret fighting Hogan in TNA. He even named the specific match.
Styles 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2003 Yeah what a waste. IF you could wrestle WOULD you go to TNA to wrestle HOGAN and split wins?! I mean what the fuck? He already said he wants to work with Angle...

I was also taking into account the dozens of concussions he's suffered, along with the fact that's he a former professional wrestler who has taken millions of bumps. I'm just shocked that he remembered that.
Styles 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2003 DVD: "possible but not anything done with it." dammit Vince, get with it....money issues...hmmm.

Invictus 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2003 Well, it's over. What are everyone's thoughts? I think everyone feel's this way, but I'm REALLY disappointed that nothing has happened with the DVD set yet. Let's hope they can get something together in time for his book(s) release date. As well, it was sad to hear he isn't currently planning to give a speech at Wrestlemania XX because of his emotional state... but things can change in the next few months. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2003 I wish they had 2 more hours to talk with Bret. You could hear Dave laughing at the fact that Bret Hart - someone who doesn't frequently watch WWE programming and has been removed from professional wrestling for some time now not to mention had a stroke - is pinpointing problems in the product. Reading Skeiths review on Brets shoot interview, he mentions that Bret has a near textbook-like memory, so it doesn't surprise me that he could remember so much.. but specific dates? Youch, I can barely remember what I had for dinner last Tuesday. His historical knowledge shocked me, when it really shouldn't have considering how and who he grew up with in wrestling. I too cannot wait for that book to come out. But its gotta kinda suck for Bret cause the rest of his book is all downhill after 1997 - so even if he is on 1993, he's still talkin about stuff that will relate to 1997 and he's always got to keep that in the back of his mind and put things into perspective.
