The last clip was the mom flushing the virus down the toilet. Unless they have some mega swerve where they shut off the water in time or that wasn't the real bag it is fucking ridiculous.

Damn, that was a good episode.

 

1. I love the whole thing with Jack being a junkie. It adds a different twist, and I don't see Jack making it through the whole day.

 

2. I like Chase a lot, he is a pretty good character. I could see him taking over the lead role, instead of Tony.

 

3. Principal Wood is just gansta. He plays the Devil Advocate perfectly.

 

4. Jack took the fact that Kim is dating Chase pretty well. I thought he would get more pissed off than he did. He made a good point about not being able to have a relationship with this job, or maybe it is just Jack?

 

5. It isn't like you can hate the Kyle kid at all. He is doing this for a very good reason; to help out his family. I am sure there are plenty of people who would do the same thing. CTU knowing the kid was a bit too soon, but I am sure the writers know what they are doing.

 

6. The whole deal with Anne and Palmer is interesting. Last week when they kissed, I yelled out loud "He's banging his Dr." I got some looks from that for some reason.

 

7. I wonder what the thing about Anne is, I really have no clue.

 

8. The fact that there was a mole in CTU a mile away. There has to be a spy, it makes it that so much more interesting. I just didn't know who it was though, and I like who they picked.

 

9. Next week looks awesome, nuff said.

 

10. So far, this season is pretty good. It has me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

In the preview for the next episode, the kid with the virus was confronted by his parents, who found it and also thought it was drugs. His mom was pouring it down the toilet when CTU breaks in wearing biohazard suits and Jack starts yelling about the virus being out in the open.

I'm gonna try and watch this show this season.  I've put off getting into it for too long now.

 

What did I miss so far this season?  I'm watching tonight's episode and this is the first I've seen of this season.

Season 3 Episode 1:

 

The time has jumped three years and the hanging plotline of the attack on Palmer was written off with the line "we caught the people who tried to kill you." Palmer is now campaigning for his re-election and has come back to LA for the first time since the attack. His brother is now his top aide.

 

Almeda and the chick he was seeing last season are married and both working at CTU. Almeda's head of the intel crew at CTU.

 

Jack's head of the field agents at CTU and is all fucked up from his last big mission, involving the bust of a Mexican druglord. He's addicted to heroin(?) because of it.

 

A dead body infected with a fast-acting biological agent was dropped off at a hospital and the people who did it have threatened to unleash it on LA unless the Mexican druglord in question is released.

 

The Mexican druglord was about to cut a deal with the government when he suddenly killed his own lawyer with the pen he was using to sign his deal.

 

A kid from a family in serious debt has smuggled a bag of what he thinks is drugs across the Mexican border. It actually contains the virus in a crystalline form.

 

Kim Bauer is working at CTU as one of Tony's researchers. She's also dating Jack's new partner.

Thanks. I've seen enough random episodes and previews to get me through the season on that info and I might ask a few more questions as it goes along.

I'm more intrigued to know what they'll do now that the virus is out.

I don't know if everyone noticed in the first episode, but Michelle got everyone together and told them that in order to prevent security breaches, they had encrypted codes that had to be refreshed every 2 hours...which is probably why the Mole had to come out of hiding...

 

What DOES bug me is why no one was searching for him in the past 2 hours, especially since Chloe was supposedly looking for him. Hopefully, that'll be addressed.

 

The preview for next week is just NASTY. I mean...damn. Now people MUST watch.

 

Also....I'm liking Chase. He seems cool and has that killer instinct that Jack also has.

 

About the doctor...this is JUST my guess:

 

She probably helped engineer viruses like the one that's being threatened to be released and isn't saying everything...

I was guessing smaller scale on the doctor. Like she did abortions or something and he ends up very pro-life. I am kind of hoping it is just small, because I don't like the idea of having every single person be involved in something bigger.

 

Unless she was a plant by Hector, which seems possible. He did specifically mention the President's debate, like he doesn't want it to go down. Maybe she is his insurance policy. That I'll buy, but an unrelated involvement is too much.

I don't know, they gave away Lynne falling last year. She was a pretty big character, at the time, and they just gave away her exit.

It doesn't matter if it is the biggest thing in the episode or not. It is a big development that doesn't need to be spoiled in the preview. There is just no purpose for it.

I don't think it's that big a thing, I'm sure just about everyone figured the virus was gonna get out, only uestion was when and how...it's what happens from there that I'm wondering about.

Unless it's a major surprise it doesn't matter what the previews show. It's the how, why and what now that's important not the outcome.

 

Besides, with this show you never know what's going to happen. With this show just because you think you know what you saw in the preview, doesn't mean you really saw what you thought.

Ahh, I think he has a good point about it from his point of view. Jack's wife died because of the job, and he doesn't want the same thing to happen to Kim.

Ahh, I think he has a good point about it from his point of view. Jack's wife died because of the job, and he doesn't want the same thing to happen to Kim.

He doesn't want anything to happen to Kim so he gives her a job at the place his wife died and a place that Kim herself almost died at when it was bombed a few years ago. He's not very bright then is he?
