OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2003 This week's edition of Raw did a 3.4 cable rating, with a five share, according to Nielsen Media Research. That is down from last week’s 3.7. Both hours did a 3.4. The highest quarter hour of the show came at 10:00 p.m. and did a 3.7, which was the Shane McMahon segment. The rating dropped from there. 1wrestling.com

Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted October 28, 2003 There was an interesting thread on here a few weeks back with a breakdown of the ratings - certainly on SmackDown! Vince and Steph attracted more viewers than any other - over 600,000 more viewers every time they were on TV.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted October 28, 2003 I should hope so since they're promoted as the big draws and their storylines are always hyped above any others.

Meaning the fans said "screw this" after that segment.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 28, 2003 Ratings each week at 1000 tend to be 3.7... So this wasn't anything new...This is the point where people turn to raw to start watching it because at that point MNF was a blowout and nothing is on at 10...they see shane...shane sucks the loaded meat missle and they turn to whatever the fuck TLC had on. Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted October 28, 2003 Well, they SAID Raw was the "most-watched show on cable" last week... Which just goes to show that there are a whole lot of REALLY FUCKING STUPID TV viewers. -Patrick

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2003 It's not a 2.9 or below so I don't give a damn. At this point though, the morons who watch Raw do it out of habit so much they could put anything on and they'd still tune in.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2003 Who wants to take bets on when Levesque will convince McMahon that the ratings drop is due to his absence?
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2003 I bet it was the Radio Music Awards on NBC that killed the ratings. What drove me away was the screwjob finish of the RVD match when Jericho cheated to win the 1st pinfall.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2003 I fell asleep during RAW for the first time in about 4 years, right before the Garrison Cade match. I'm not sure if it was the lack of sleep or just the show itself. But, man, that show was pretty brutal.

What if someone was watching RAW, and literally PUKED while watching it?

Guest Corino 1000 Report post Posted October 29, 2003 Heat also did low with a 0.5, Velocity 0.7, and Confedental with a 0.6... Anyway RAW was horrible.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2003 Heat also did low with a 0.5, Velocity 0.7, and Confedental with a 0.6... Anyway RAW was horrible. Well, this week Heat had two factors against it insted of the usual 1. Besides the fact that there's little to no reason to watch it...it was bumped to Saturday insted of Sunday. If I knew about the change, I would have watched Heat.

Papacita 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2003 So can they finally stop the Coach mega push now? I like what they've been doing with Coach lately...his shtick is pretty entertaining. However, I'll agree that unless they plan on having him replace Lawler or making it a 3-man broadcast team, he doesn't need to be on TV. As for last night's Raw...outside of the Shane/Kane stuff and the dumb ass main event (Was the double title change REALLY necessary?! And why not have Austin come out and make it a cage match from the get go?! And damn it, since when has the GM been unable to reverse a referee's decision??!!? It wasn't that long ago when Chief Morely was restarting matches every 5 minutes!!!), I liked the show. Nothing mind-blowing, but the show was there.

Guest Goodear Report post Posted October 29, 2003 Fuck. Reality: Shane Killed the people at home WWE Spin: No One cared about RVD and Jericho Vince: It was the WILDFIRES! TSM Spin: Jericho and RVD HAVE to be draws! THEY HAVE TO! Face it folks, they aren't super terrific draws of wonderous power. Of course, no one else is either so I don't really care one way or the other but the constant excuse making people do here for their favorites is annoying. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted October 29, 2003 I think the ratings might have been down b/c they were expecting the return of Raw is HHH after he bested Goldberg last week.
The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2003 So when a segment with Benoit or Angle or Jericho is the top-rated segment of the night, everyone in here rushes to point out these guys are big-time draws that need to be pushed more. When Shane McMahon's segment is the highest draw of the night, everyone says that it was because that segment drove viewers away for the rest of the night, making the Shane segment No. 1 by default. You can't have it both ways.

The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2003 Yeah but how is he a draw if none of the viewers were retained? I'm not saying he is. For that matter, I'm not sure the guys on the other side of my point are draws either. I think way too much emphasis goes into the quarter-hour breakdowns.
