Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted November 5, 2003 Is there any way to search for stuff that is about to be timed out, so you can snag it at the last second?
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2003 When you search for a type of item it is usually sorted by "Time Left". If it isn't, you can just click "Time Left" and it will sort it that way.
Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted November 8, 2003 So I made a bid I now regret making, any way to undo it?
Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2003 So I made a bid I now regret making, any way to undo it? Just click here and then look under Services, then look under Buyer Tools, and then click on Retract My Bid. It says... Bid Retractions Before bidding on an item on eBay, be sure to read the item description and check the seller's feedback. If you have any questions about the listing, contact the seller by going to the View Item page and clicking on either the seller's User ID or on the Ask Seller a Question link. Please remember that every bid on eBay is binding (unless the item is listed in a category under the Non-Binding Bid Policy or the transaction is prohibited by law or by eBay's User Agreement). Bidding on multiple identical items should be done only if you intend to buy all of the items. It is ONLY OK to retract a bid if... You accidentally enter a wrong bid amount (for example, you bid $99.50 instead of $9.95). If this occurs, re-enter the correct bid amount immediately. The description of an item you have bid on has changed significantly. You cannot reach the seller. This means that you have tried calling the seller and the seller's phone number doesn't work, or you have tried emailing the seller and it comes back undeliverable. Before you retract your bid, please read complete information on bid retractions including the Special Retraction Rules. ...also, keep in mind that it will be listed on your feedback page that you have retracted a bid, and it keeps up with how many times you do so. Some people don't allow people to bid on their auctions if they have frequent bid retractions, so be careful.
Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted November 8, 2003 Okay thanks, I guess I'll have to take the whopping 6 dollar hit and own 2 Grizzlors!!!
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Email the party and tell them you bid by accident. I did that one time and they wiped out my bid without it ever hitting my feedback.
Styles 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 I have an eBay question. I won 3 auctions from one seller, paid via paypal which was confirmed accepted a month ago, yet I have not recieved the items yet, and my emails to the seller have gone unanswered. Is there a way to get a refund?
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 With paypal, you have to report it within 30 days. Try and report it anyway, but your chances aren't that great.

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 I've only used EBay twice and both times I got my stuff. I just haven't had the money to get anything lately and I'm afraid that I'll get hooked on it and spend all my money.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Slapnuts, go here and scroll down to the buying section and click on the link about Fraud Protection. Pick the option that you paid but didn't receive your item and then click on the link where you file a fraud complaint. You'll need the item numbers for each item, by the way. And Boo, no offense, but bidders who bid on things and then retract obviously because they changed their mind, really piss me off. I sell on eBay quite a bit, and I've had instances where bidders retract their bids and the reasons given are bullshit. I've had buyers claim they couldn't contact me (load of crap since it's all through eBay) or that they entered the wrong bid amount, yet they didn't bid again. If you retract, you'll have to give a reason and most of them are pretty damning. If you say you entered the wrong amount, you'll be expected to bid again with the correct amount. If the seller suspects you're retracting for a reason other than a "legal" one, they can report you. I did this to a guy who retracted on three of my auctions and had a history of retracting bids five or more times a week. As a longtime buyer, there've been auctions that I bid on and then realized I didn't really want them, but I never retracted any of them because unlike some people, I understand that when you bid, you're cyber-signing a legally-binding contract and I never wanted to abuse the system. Next time, I simply suggest you decide if you really want it before you bid, or keep a watch on the item without bidding in case you find the same thing at a cheaper price elsewhere. It'll save you trouble and sellers a headache.
Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted November 11, 2003 I was new to it, and didn't use the "Watch this item" feature.... I know better now...
Styles 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Thanks for the info guys. Unforntunately its not buyer protected so I'd have to file for a refund. But I sent the guy one last email, if I don't get a response by tommorow I'll file a coplaint.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 File the complaint, anyway. Either way, it's better to get the ball rolling on this. Every seller on eBay should know that if the buyer is in the same country, they should send their items out within a couple of weeks. Any longer and they're asking for trouble. Styles 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2003 Update! I just recieved a reply after I sent to his other email address (the one for Paypal) and he seemed very suprised and remorseful that I had not recieved my tapes yet. He says if they're not there by Thursday he'll send them out again immediately.

Gert T 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 My main beef with EBay is sellers charging outrageous amount for S/H, and the postage price is staring right at you once it's sent. Unless the seller buys envelopes or boxes from those robber barons USPS.
