Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 ....John Cena. These guys have the potential to the Rocky/Triple H of their era. Discuss.
El Psycho Diablo Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 <IWC> It's gotta be Benoit, damnit! </IWC> IMO, at the rate it's at..it'll be Angle again, or knowing the WWE..Trips or Vince.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Silly rabbit, Mania is for hosses.
Guest Choken One Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Vince's Golden Boy Kurt will go over no matter what... the question is...is it Benoit, Lesnar or eddy that he goes against.
BifEverchad Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Vince's Golden Boy Kurt will go over no matter what... the question is...is it Benoit, Lesnar or eddy that he goes against. Nathan Jones
Guest Choken One Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Here's another question... Is it all but locked that Kane will be victim #13 for Undertaker?
BifEverchad Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Here's another question... Is it all but locked that Kane will be victim #13 for Undertaker? More than likely. and I'd say it will be Bikertaker, not Old School Taker'.
Guest Choken One Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Interesting note...Kane would be taker's first repeat challenger at Mania (unless you want to be a prick with the Kane/Diesel part)
Guest Askewniverse Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Here's another question... Is it all but locked that Kane will be victim #13 for Undertaker? Wouldn't Kane be #12, or are you counting Show and A-Train as separate victims?
Guest Choken One Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Yes... Superfly Roberts Giant Gonzalezs Kong Diesel Sid Kane Bossman HHH Flair TBS A-TRAIN Wow. If think about it...Only ONE good match out of this group. Maybe two depending on my mood with the flair match.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 K, you jerks, get back on topic. Take you're hossified shit to another thread.
Guest Anglesault Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Interesting note...Kane would be taker's first repeat challenger at Mania (unless you want to be a prick with the Kane/Diesel part) What about Kane/Diesel? One was Nash one was Jacobs.
Guest Anglesault Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 K, you jerks, get back on topic. Take you're hossified shit to another thread. Brock/Cena could work, but it leaves glaring holes for Angle and Benoit.

Brock/Cena could work, but it leaves glaring holes for Angle and Benoit. Here's an idea... Benoit Vs Angle ! Easy to Set Up. It's been done 8 million times. They have fought against or with each other (running the they HATE EACH OTHER~! angle) something like ten times. ENOUGH ALREADY. And the feud has almost never been good
Guest Choken One Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Fine... Kurt Angle(Heel turn) Vs Eddy Guerrero and Chris Benoit Vs Edge/ Jericho
claydude14 Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 But the matches have been good. However, I'd only be up for sitting through their feud leading to the match again if their was a new element... say, someone like Bret Hart?
Guest Choken One Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 An I Quit Match refed by Hart would be nice... The question would be this though... How do you set Bret into the match? Do you make it a SURPRISE thing or what? Bret's involvement in the match would have to be explained...
Guest Anglesault Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Fine... Kurt Angle(Heel turn) Vs Eddy Guerrero and Chris Benoit Vs Edge/ Jericho Give me a reason and/or purpose for either of these matches occuring. Random matches to fill out the micard does not suffice.
Guest Choken One Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Because they would be good-great matches and they haven't been done in a while anyways. Its not that hard to book/set up those two matches. Jericho/Benoit is ready made...Edge could do the revenge thing against Benoit (whom wasn't watching his back when he got hurt)

Guest subliminal_animal Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Give me a reason and/or purpose for either of these matches occuring. Random matches to fill out the micard does not suffice. Oh, of course. If he doesn't give you some fantasy angle, then his suggestions are worthless. Maybe it's because I'm tired, but I don't see your logic here. But I doubt it's because I'm tired.

I don't think just randomly pairing up guys from the upper midcard and putting them on the show helps anyone.
Guest subliminal_animal Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 So they cook up some special-made guys for them? What?
Guest Anglesault Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 So they cook up some special-made guys for them? What? If Mania 19 and it's seventy six main events showed me anything, it's that you can have huge matches without the title being involved (Austin/Rock, Hogan/McMahon, HBK/Y2J). Instead of taking guys like Kurt and Eddy, pairing them off and sending them out third in a pointless 12 minute match, give them something big.
Guest Choken One Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Fine you can do that... I just didn't feel like getting into booking fantasy Angles. But Yes Benoit/Eddy/Edge/Jericho/Angle are all interchangable...but doesn't mean it's random.
Kahran Ramsus Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Angle/Eddy is one of two big matches Smackdown has right now, the other being Benoit/Brock. One of them should be the Wrestlemania main event. Brock/Angle, Benoit/Angle and Benoit/Eddy have been done too much to be a Wrestlemania World Title match, although I would rather have them then something not involving these guys. It is too early for Cena to be maineventing Wrestlemania (try for XXI), and nobody else is even close to that level.
Guest Choken One Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 If they want freshness... Benoit/Brock Eddy/Angle would be the way to go because Brock/Benoit haven't gone head to head yet and it's been a long time since Angle/Eddy went down (if at all) Then you Leave one of your biggest names out in the cold (Cena)... Who do you put him with? TBS? TBS, in name value and status is the best choice and could allow for some great freestyle/comedy segments if anything but if they want Cena to become a STAR...TBS won't be the guy
Kahran Ramsus Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Eddy/Angle fought in the Smackdown Six days, but not in a meaningfull match. I'm not even sure if they actually did fight one on one. Cena would be a better choice for US Champ for the time being. But I would have him take the US Title at No Way Out and then defend (successfully) against someone like Chavo at Mania.
