The finish to the 1st one could have been botched, so they brought 'em back out and edited the matches together later on.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 I'm going pleas ignorance, but I can't recall the Samoans being faces They turned face during the spring of 84, I believe. What forshadowed their turn was, in a tag match against Slaughter and Terry Gibbs (maybe?) Gibbs suffered an injury and the Samoans helped him to the back. Not too long after that, they began facing Fuji & Tiger Chung Lee and had a long running series of matches against Murdoch & Adonis for the belts. I'll have to check on the Crush / Virgil match. It may have been a redone finish but then again I may have just listed it twice and not realized it.
