Hey guys, Stampede Wrestling is becoming quite the little hot spot for talent nowadays. From "Stampede Kid" TJ Wilson to Harry Smith, these guys are amazing. Stampede Wrestling is branching out and more and more stars are heading to the States or to Japan but still come home to Stampede.

There's an awesome card this weekend in Bowness, Calgary which anyone who lives in or around Calgary should try to make. It should be quite the night.

Bowness Sportsplex

Friday, November 14 - 7:30 p.m.

Six Man Bunkhouse Brawl

Karnage & Dave Swift & "Hot Shot" Johnny Devine vs Harry Smith & Greg "Pistol" Pawluk & Apocalypse

Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Championship

Dirty Duke Durrango vs T.J. Wilson

Handicap Challenge Match

Nattie Neidhart vs Randy Myers & Dandy Myers

Triple Threat Match

Jason "Turtle Boy" Carter vs Kid Nichols vs "Kwik Kick" Kirk

Dirty Dean Durrango vs Marky Starr

Make it out to enjoy some fantastic Indy action, you won't regret it.

When are they gonna release tapes? The only stuff I've seen are the Matrats tapes.

You can buy some tapes at the shows, or I assume if you lived out of town you could contact someone to buy one.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Whoooa. Whoooooa. Whoa.

Whoa.

Whoooooooooah.

WHERE can you buy these tapes?

I'll be there, like I am every week :)

You live in Calgary Tawren? Cause I would go to Stampede more often if I lived in Calgary.

Yes... I know that on November 1st at the Agricom (think it was that, might've been another venue) and I had a shot to go to it, but I was poor so couldn't.

Anyone know the next time they hit Edmonton?

I live in Okotoks, couple minutes south of Calgary. Try asking on the Stampede board when they go to Edmonton next.

They did have a card planned for Edmonton but cancelled because of lack of fan intrest.

And just go to the shows, theres normally a gimmick table set up where you can buy some tapes. All the shows are in Bowness and out of Calgary now it seems though so people in the south (like myself and Tawren) are kinda screwed unless if you're up for a 45 min. drive.

:( Aw fuck... That was Nov 1st then. Cause they were doing a thing for Halloween that day. It was a nice card as well from what I saw. I haven't seen Stampede Wrestling though, so I couldn't say.

I want to go, but for a 6 hour ride down to Calgary right now isn't looking too good. Especially considering it would have to be by bus (no vehicle right now). Edit: Since it would be by bus, I say six because it would have to make stops.

I agree, it is sometimes a bit of a pain to drive to Bowness, but I figure it's worth it.

I've been looking for a tape table. Hopefully I'll see it Friday. How much are they?

And where are you from, AM?

I'm just in SE Calgary, drove around Okotoks today actually...weeeeird.

Tapes are a pretty good price, I'd assume no more than $30, but I dont know, I just get them from the guys and Bruce.

Vitiated Spirit, why not go to a PWA show when some of the Stampede guys are wrestling?

And I remember the A-Channel shows. Saturdays at noon. Replaced WWF Shotgun.

Cool. Thanks. I'll definitely check them out. *looks briefly* Neat. They accept people for training.

They replaced it with a WWF show? Figures.

Yeah, PWA is a great federation...it gets alot of Stampede stars quite often. Keep your eye out for TJ Wilson, Harry Smith and Duke Durrango. World-class wrestlers, I love Calgary!

Bah, I live in Toronto.....there's no way I will ever get to Alberta to catch one of the shows...are they ever gonna put their tapes online?

Posted

...And by Stampede Wrestling...I mean Stampede....IN MY PANTS~!

Anyway

I've never been to any shows in Calgary, but caught a couple shows in the last year in Claresholm. Small spot shows, but still very good.

I am convinced though that there is an online tape dealer with Stampede shows. Ask on the Stampede board and I'm sure you can get a link.
