Guest NCJ Report post Posted November 12, 2003 I can understand what they did with Benoit and Cena. It will probably play a part in the ppv. Benoit did have Lesnar locked in the crossface and ready to tap. Getting hit with a sucker punch finisher dosen't really hurt you. Benoit vs. Brock and Cena vs. Big Show or A-Train will probably be the way to go after this ppv.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2003 Wow, the FBI get to pick up a win! I'd say Rikishi is finally getting punished for ballooning up while out for unapproved elective surgery, but he wasn't the guy to eat the pin, plus he got his heat back afterwards by giving a stinkface. Further, I'm shocked that Orlando Jordan didn't get to score the pinfall, given the high concentration of WCW buy-out guys in the match. Wonder how they decided to winner of the Kanyon/Rhyno match? Coin flip? "Heads, the guy we're burying. Tails, the WCW guy we don't deem fit to put on TV, despite being good enough to be a solid mid-card player." Anyway, SD looks OK, and Velocity looks fantastic.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted November 12, 2003 Does this mean SS will be heavy on the wrestling? Cause we have 8 matches, 2 of which are 5 on 5 elimination matches. niko
Anya 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 Promo with Undertaker in graveyard telling Macmaho how he's gone to far and has brought back the Undertaker to a place he didnt think he would go back to. Uh, it's just VINCE he is fighting. Is Vince now officially a regular wrestler? Like is the story we're supposed to believe that Vince can take on the Undertakr and that this is a huge dream match, or is it still like the old Austin/Vince stuff where the idea going in was that Vince was going to get his ass kicked. I can't tell.
Guest JRE Report post Posted November 13, 2003 I think it's that Vince is so afraid that he'll be buried that he's going insane...praying in the ring and such
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 We're supposed to believe that Vince can beat Taker cause he "beat" Ted Turner... but unless Taker merges with AOL and they tell him to stop wrestling, I don't see how that makes sense..
Anya 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 So is it like a death match? Like are they hyping it up to where the loser will be buried alive and DIE? Or do they admit it's fake and they can breath down in the grave?
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 No. They DIE. But you see, the loophole here is that the Undertaker is already dead so he is allowed to lose the match.
Anya 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 What about when Rock and Mick lost one on Smackdown? Did they ever explain how they just returned? Like when Bossman got hung it wasn't real. Even in kayfabe they didn't try to pass it off like Bossman was being killed. It was "symbolic" or something. I'm not sure how or why Cole knew, but he kept saying it so it must be true. Is "Buried alive" like that, like it's just a gimmick match that looks cool but is really fake even in kayfabe....or is the story that next week UT and Vince are going to have a fight to the death live on pay per view? I think about this stuff way too much. After all, it is just a MALE SOAP OPERA~!
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 They fight to the death... but they don't actually say death because the WWE doesn't do murder storylines.
Anya 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 Ok so... death = buried alive kinda like how hospital = nearest medical facility? Speaking of that, what's the deal? Why can't they say hospital?
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 I think that's just the WWE trying to be technical. I hate it when they do that. Like when Austin says "I must be physically provoked", rather than saying "touch me and I get to hit you" which is what it really is... It's all so needlessly convoluted... Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 13, 2003 Ok so... death = buried alive kinda like how hospital = nearest medical facility? Speaking of that, what's the deal? Why can't they say hospital? Because Medical Facility is an actual fucking term that's been used... I think there's some TV rule or something because TV shows use Medical Facility all the god damn time
