Feldman had some initial success for about 5 years following Goonies, before the burnout It's just that Astin has had the bigger long term career, albeit with only two real defining roles beyond Mikey (Rudy and Samwise) Though that's only if you limit it to the kids and exclude Davi and Pantoliano, who've had decent careers since. Jason would try to kill the Goonies while Sloth defends them. Imagine Chunk and Data walking in the woods when sudenly... "cha cha cha cha..." BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 the question is who will play the new kids? there aren't really many noteable young actors that spring to mind like in the 80's when movies based around kids in there pre/early teens were quite common...guess it doesn't really matter as the selling point will be the return of the original cast. Anyway, I believe main girl from the film now works behind the scenes in Hollywood. And I think Data really didn't want to be an actor that much.
