Guest Jimmy Saint Report post Posted December 5, 2003 Teddy Hart. By far the best wrestler in the indies today. I say this due to the fact he has pissed everyone on the whole East Coast off and parts of Canada too and I havent seen one of his matches. Its probably all just a work anyway but he is living his gimmick and my god its funny while it lasts. Wrestlers punching fans who insult them blah who cares? Bruiser Brody used to punch people for asking for his autograph.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted December 5, 2003 Bruiser Brody used to punch people for asking for his autograph. At least people were asking Brody for autographs. He's earned enough respect in the sport to have acted how he wanted(even though it's not right). Teddy Hart hasn't done a fucking thing, and I hope someone shoots on him in the ring. Guest bort Report post Posted December 6, 2003 Teddy Anuis is a fool, before long he will be blackballed big time for the USA, but i think he will have a place in canada due to his last name....Teddy is like the only big time wrestler from Stampede who hasnt gotten a shot in NJPW, maybe because they know he is a pick and he wouldnt last a tour over there
Guest Indikator Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Two years ago I thought that there couldn´t be a way for todays wrestlers to get monster heat. Since then I´ve seen several cases of "I won´t work for this company" and wrestlers like Ted Hart (don´t tell me he´s a disgrace, Bruce Hart did worse things; Ted Annis is legitimately a Hart so don´t start bitching about moral ) who gave me my belief in monster heels back
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted December 8, 2003 I think we should rename XPac heat to Ted Annis Heat....

The mere fact that you have smart marks wishing death upon him and hoping people shoot on him is pure genius on his part and well worth commending him for imo. Smart marks who read every single piece of news on the net and goto to shows to see workrate and to chant stuff rarely get into any type of modern heel work. Even if in the modern indie matches it is often represented they will be sat their mentally working out how many stars to give the match and looking for any type of mistake or slip ups instead of booing the heels for any type of cheating. Today on the indies the heels are guys who the crowd deem bad workers and they will boo them for this. The art of wrestling will be lost if this continues and is the only way to draw heel heat. Not knowing how to work a crowd with simple story telling but with high spots and head drops is worrying for wrestling. If it takes someone acting like a total prick to draw heat from these fans whilst being from what I have heard a capable worker then that can only be a good thing. Keep in mind, I never wished death on him. I wanted to clear that first. I see your point, but I don't hate him cause he's heel. I hate him because he is totally retarded. Plain and simple..... Guest Jimmy Saint Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I see your point, but I don't hate him cause he's heel. I hate him because he is totally retarded. Plain and simple..... Yeah what I am saying is if being a total fucking tool can get all these ROH fans going mad and wanting wrestlers to legit shoot on him then thats some good heel work. Especc in a fed where it is half impossible to get any type of heel heat at all other than the 'you can't work, don't come back' reaction.

These guys are booing him because THEY DON'T LIKE HIM. It's not an act-his answering machine is like a promo.
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Oh yeah, 'cause these days theres never any heat for indy shows *remembers Tradition Contiues* Wait...is that Samoa Joe get booed out the building because he's being a dick, and just choking the fuck out of Jay briscoe? And is that the people getting behind Jay insanely? anyone who says that people go to indy shows and sit on their hands and analyze it are just dead wrong. I love Samoa Joe, even met him and he's a great guy, but during that match I wanted him to lose...i wanted him dead. oh and Ted Hart isn't a "Loose Cannon 2003". Pillman made the loose cannon angle work because he truly was unpredictable in extraoprdinary ways. Ted's a loose cannon for being a prick? No.
Jingus 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 ::points to sig:: I know Teddy... and believe me, he knows exactly what he's doing. The man is very talented (and will remind you of that, repeatedly) but he's not stupid. I see Teddy almost as the future of heels in wrestling. No, he's not Loose Cannon 2003, but nobody since Pillman comes to mind when talking about all the crazy shit they've done and all the people they pissed off. Especc in a fed where it is half impossible to get any type of heel heat at all other than the 'you can't work, don't come back' reaction. He was NEVER booked as a heel. So he is not doing any "heel work". Also, I am not referring to just the way he worked in ROH. He is a total fuckhead that doesn't know how to work a match for shit. He's a spotmonkey first off and that simply doesn't impress me. Ask true professionals in the sport of pro wrestling what they think about him. They will tell you first hand that the guy is a prick, and he wouldn't get any HEAT for being a heel when he was in the locker room. I also understand that at the Stampede show talked about in this thread that Annis wouldn't even be in the locker room because of his relationship with a few of the workers there. So this jackass walked around in the CROWD!!! WTF? This guys a douche and if you wanna defend him that's fine. But your not gonna tell me he has fooled everyone into hating him so he can be a heel. Gimmie a break........
Guest Jimmy Saint Report post Posted December 12, 2003 Thats not what I am saying. What I am saying is he is a fucking idiot and because of it he gets loads of heat from alot of people. This imo is good whether he knows he is doing it or not, although from recent interviews I would suggest he is now playing up to it ["I am the present and future of all wrestling" that sounds like some shit Owen might have said when heeling it up]. Most don't hate him because they think he is an awful wrestler, from what I can tell its because of the amount of stupid shit he does and they then read about it on the net. My view is if you can get any type of heel reaction from the modern indy fans then you deserve a medal. I ain't suggesting he the new Pillman either. Pillman for a start already knew how to work as a very good heel in the classic wrestling sense to go along with the worked shoot gimmick TonyJaymzV1 I am not saying it never happens in indies. Its pretty bloody rare though on the east coast. Of course they don't book it that way most of the time with alot of the work being face vs face. The sad thing is my favourite stuff in ROH has been down to things like Paul London's uber babyface act, Corino's mic work and the Raven\Punk feud.
