Video games that made you cry?

Recommended Posts

Can I say I hate Sakura without getting banned?

Just don't wish death on her. And you are good. Of course that only applies to us...she can freely break the rules because she has boobs.

Oh and there is a reason we have spoiler tags. We don't have them for health. They are there so someone can enter the thread without worry. "OH but it's a pain for the poor wittle people that have to read the thread" who the fuck cares? We do it in the movie forum all the time. People still read them there. Quite being an asshole and use the damn spoiler tags.

Y'know, the whole "she only got unbanned because she's a girl" arguement is REAL grade-school. I think Dames made his reasoning for unbanning her 100% clear, and it made perfect sense to me.

And I still disagree with using spoiler tags in a thread that gives spoiler warnings AT THE VERY START OF IT. If you keep reading it anyway and bitch about being spoiled, then you're just an idiot.

Nope. Someone wants to enter the thread and see what games made someone cry. If you want to tell what part made you cry then use the spoiler tags. That's how it works.

Oh and.....yes Dames made it very clear. She's his friend so she gets preferential treatment.

Let it go already Damaramu. This is going no where. You don't want to take it to NHB, you won't even explain why you hate me outside "she just bugs me". So enough already. You're just trolling now. Like every other thread here is ruined by our feud.

"SPOILERS ARE IN THIS THREAD! PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!"

That was one of the first lines of this thread. Anyone who keeps reading anyway is just an idiot. Plain and simple. Drop your bias here and realize that you're coming off like a fool.

And on point #2, no, what Dames said was that the rule wasn't published ANYWHERE (it wasn't) and she didn't know, so he's giving her a second chance. How can you ban someone forever for breaking an UNWRITTEN rule? That'd be bullshit, and luckily Dames isn't the kind of person to do that. Again, you're just letting your personal bias get in the way. As Sakura said, get over it already, because it's really getting annoying to anyone else to see you hijack random threads to continue your feud with her.

For some reason this feud amuses me

Plus it arouses me, but let us not worry about that

Then unban Game. He broke the unwritten rule and is indefinetly banned. There's your double standard.

But I digress. If you want to continue to further argue with me about it then I will happily talk to you on AIM or in NHB.

Oh and...once again in the Movies folder they warn there are spoilers....and then they put them in fucking spoiler tags. The only person coming off as an ass is you. "Screw you! I don't care if it spoils the game! I don't care if you only want to see what games made us cry...I'm going to spoil the whole game! I'm to lazy to put it in spoiler tags." Once again...they are there for a reason.

Wasn't Dames' explanation that Game had broken a million rules before this and was just asking for a ban, while Sakura had not broken any rules prior and thus deserved a second chance? Seemed like a fine explanation to me.

Ditto.

Although I think it's getting to the point where some one should ask Dames to change Mighty's name to "Sandy Vagina."

SPOILERS ARE IN THIS THREAD! PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Personally, I feel that this is enough. Especially when we are talking about older games.

God dammit. What if you just wanted to come in and read the title of the game that made them cry? So now does this rule apply in the movies folder?

Can I go in there and say "I just got back from *big movie*! SPOILER! Man it was great when so and so was killed!!!"

So what is the point of the spoiler tags again? Because then everyone can just say SPOILER in big letters when someone is scrolling through the thread they will see that before anything and move on. So why do we have spoiler tags?

So why do we have spoiler tags?

First off, asking for a mod decision and then bitching when it doesn't agree with you isn't exactly a self-flattering thing to do. It puts you in a bad light. If you can't handle getting the opposite result then don't ask for a mod decision. Pretty simple.

As for your question- to me, the spoiler tags are there for when you want to post spoilers in a thread that's purpose isn't for spoilers. Let me clarify- you don't need spoiler tags for this thread because it's entire point is to talk about games that made you cry and why, which is naturally going to include spoilers.

HOWEVER, if you had beaten FFX-2 and wanted to talk about the ending in a general FFX-2 thread, then you would use the spoiler tags.

That's how I view it, anyway.

This is a discussion thread about spoilers. Much like the Smackdown Spoiler threads. The spoiler tags are for when spoilers happen to come up in standard threads that aren't necessarily about discussion of the spoilers.

I also think that once a certain time has passed and it has pretty well become common knowledge that spoiler tags should be uneccesary. Do we really need to hide the fact that Vader is Luke's father?

If someone wanted to spoil the end of "The Thing", I wouldn't mind knowing either.

I stopped playing that game when it went from moody and tension filled thriller to by-the-numbers shooter.

It should be the same ending as the movie...shouldn't it?

No, since the game is about the events after the movie.

It's basically "The Thing 2"

Anyway, if I remember right, here is the damn ending to the game THAT made me constantly try to save people and protect them and get them to trust me while freaking monsters chased me around like a bitch for hours on end!

Just in case, I'll spoiler tag it and if I missed something then someone correct me. My memory is still pissed about this game

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

You are on a helicopter after defeating the final boss and you thank the pilot and ask his name and he tells you Mcready, RJ Mcready. Why does this piss you off? Because Mcready basically froze to death in the movie which means he is The Thing which means YOU DIE ANYWAY!

The End

Almost?

I DID break a controller over that ending

And I think I somehow managed to use "f*ck" about 100 times in five minutes and in sentences that made sense.

The Opera house isn't even the saddest part of FFVI for me. General Leo dying is a lot more emotional and probably the saddest part of a game I have played. You really get to like all the characters in that game. Leo is put over so strongly as a good guy and you can't help but feel sorry for him when he gets betrayed by the Empire despite how much he trusted them. The way the character's react to his death also puts it over. No other death is really mounred that much, but they are all upset when Leo dies making it that much more emotional.

I was sad at Leo's passing because I wanted to use him...he kicked ass

Amen.

I wiped a tear away when I beat the living shit out of HBK for 20 minutes and made him tap to the sharpshooter in HCTP the other day. Oh yeah and boy, Toe Jam and Earl gets me every time, such loving friendship....come ON.
