Tawren Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 I was watching that tape yesterday, and I thought the main event 6 man (Taka/Kaz/Naniwa vs Sasuke/Shinkazi/Togo) was an excellent match, around the ****1/4-****1/2 range. That is one of my only two M-Pro tapes (I also have Return of Mutoh) and I want to know-are M-Pro shows usually that good? And am I way overrating the match?
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I have this show, but I have yet to watch it. I'll let you know what I think after I watch.
Guest bort Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 I downloaded that show and it is the best one from the group i have ever seen, it was one of there biggest shows of the year so it was was of the best ive seen maybe 4 shows and they have all been good to very good
Guest NANIWA* Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 FYI Tawren, that 6-man tag match didn't take place at M-Pro's 10th Anniversary show... M-Pro's 10th Anniversary was headlined by the big Sasuke vs. Delfin grudge match. Here's the entire card if you want to check it out sometime... Credit: Stuart at www.puroreufan.com Michinoku Pro "10TH ANNIVERSARY", 11/2/03 (PPV) Tokyo Ariake Colosseum 8,008 Fans - Super No Vacancy 1. Super Demekin beat Kazuya Yuasa (13:23) with the Fisherman's splash. 2. Hayate & Masashi Ikeda beat Masao Orihara & Macho Pump (13:35) when Hayate used the Super Express rana on Pump. 3. Yone Genjin vs. Beef Wellington went to a double countout (11:43). 4. Naohiro Hoshikawa & MIKAMI beat Gran Hamada & Osamu Inoue (10:11) when Hoshikawa used a crab hold on Inoue. 5. Jinsei Shinzaki & Chi-Nen Hokkai beat Bob Sapp & Tsubo Genjin (17:36) when Shinzaki pinned Genjin. 6. Minoru Fujita vs. Ikuto Hidaka went to a draw (30:00) when the time limit expired. 7. Dick Togo, MEN's Teioh , Shiryu (Kaz Hayashi) , TAKA Michinoku & Hanzo Nakajima beat Jinsei Shinzaki, Hayate, Kesen Numa-jiro, Kazuya Yuasa & Chi-Nen Hokkai (17:49) when Togo used a diving senton on Hokkai. 8. Super Delfin beat Great Sasuke (20:51) with the Delfin Special #2.

Guest The Son of Sting Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Was the Sapp match good?
Guest NANIWA* Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 (edited) I'm not really sure when that match took place, as the only one I could find that looked remotely like the match you described was a Great Sasuke, Jinsei Shinzaki & Gran Naniwa vs. Dick Togo, TAKA Michinoku & Kaz Hayashi 6-Man that took place on 3/9/03... JustJoe2k5 Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 A very historical show as Michinoku Pro celebrates it's 10th Anniversary with competitors from New Japan and Toryumon! Founding members Sasuke, Shinzaki, & Togo reform in the main event while "Smackdown's No. 1 Announcer" Sho Funaki makes his return to MPro, were his career started to take on the also returning Ikuto Hidaka, who came back from his severe injury. Naohiro Hoshikawa vs. Kazuya Yuasa (clipped, 5:18 of 9:35 aired) Gran Hamada, Hanzo, & Hideki Nishida vs. Masao Orihara, Tomohiro Ishii, & Macho Pump (clipped, 4:52 of 9:01 aired) Tsubo Genjin vs. Yone Genjin in a "Loser Must Return to the Mountains" match (4:11) Tsubo Genjin vs. Yone Genjin in a "Rock, Paper, Scissors" sudden death match (0:01) Koji Kanemoto & Gedo vs. Tiger Mask 4 & Heat (clipped, 4:21 of 9:16 aired) Cima, Suwa, & Don Fuji vs. Curry Man, Dragon Kid, & Tiger Mask 4 (11:34) Shoichi Funaki vs. Ikuto Hidaka (6:59) Taka Michinoku, Gran Naniwa, & Kaz Hayashi vs. Great Sasuke, Jinsei Shinzaki, & Dick Togo (21:45) From highspots.com

DCMaximo Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Regarding the match rating: I also thought it was in the ****1/4- ****1/2 area. Even the blown parts (Shinkaki slipping on the rope walk) don't bring the match down and everyone seems to be having such a good time that I thought it was awesome. I even put it on a comp tape that I'm making my friends for X-Mas. The whole show was damned good (loved the Curry Man 6-man and the Funaki match)
