Oklahoma's BCS score at the moment is based off of a few things that could change, including a consensus #1 rating in the polls. If they get killed by K-State, their polls will drop to at least 3rd or 4th and some of their computer rankings could drop because their strong lead is based off of being undefeated.

The Rose Bowl is gonna get Michigan, but there won't be a PAC 10 team facing them because in all likelyhood USC will be in the Sugar Bowl. I've heard everyone from Texas to Tennessee for the Rose Bowl.

Aside from the occurence's of this game we're still leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else. Bring the good to the National Championship that you've brought all season and you could have it. Man that'd be odd. Lose the Big XII and win the National Championship...but hey at least you're national champions.

I think its the AP (or the ESPN Poll, one or the other) who doesn't necessarily have to recognize the BCS champion as the Champion for them. If USC was #1 in their poll and didn't play in the Sugar Bowl, but won their Bowl game, they could claim USC the national Championship despite whatever happens in the Sugar Bowl.
