OVER-RATED!

Hmmm.......losing 1 game...just as USC and LSU has yet still winning the national championship? Well I wouldn't call that overrated. There are 3 1 loss teams. And 1 of them wins the national championship. No overrating there. Three even teams...1 wins....1 proves themselves. That's the way this is going.

I still don't get all this "OU is overrated" bullshit when they've dominated the season. They lose a fucking game. So has USC and LSU. They are overrated as well by that logic.

Remember boys and girls, this is a HOME GAME for the "Best Team in the Nation".

lol...

How is this a home game? It's in Kansas.......not Oklahoma. Why don't you discuss this seriously rather than being a smarmy ass about it?

Saying OU is the best even if they lose this game and don't play in the championship game is like saying the Rams were the best team in the NFL in 2001 because the Pats won by a "fluke".

Deniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal

I'm not going to say they are the best if they don't win the champioship. However if they do go to the championship and trounce USC or LSU then I'm going to say that they are the best this year. Not the best ever. They proved that tonight. But if they win the national championship they are the best this year. No denying it. To say that they aren't would be as you put it DEEENIAAAAALLLLL.

Just proves they were the best that night. Just like Ohio State last year. If they played that Fiesta Bowl 10 times, Ohio State wins maybe twice.

Exactly.

If everyone was calling them the best team ever then they choke BIG TIME against K-State, that's enough of a reason to call them overrated. VERY few people gave K-State a hope in hell of being within a touchdown of OU.

Actually, this Kansas City is in Missouri.

If we're going by the logic that that is the night they were the best on that night then this game just proves that they are the worse on this night. Same logic.

They were the best all season....bad in 1 fucking game...count it 1 FUCKING GAME.....and then the best in the National Championship. That would make them the best in the season. Because they dominated the season and STILL won the national championship. If they don't win the national then they aren't the best. It's that simple.

And if USC hadn't messed up in OT, they'd be undefeated. And if LSU hadn't been bad against Florida, they'd be undefeated. And if a frog had wings, it wouldnt' bump it's ass a hoppin.

Neither USC or LSU lost a game THIS badly all year, let alone at the wrong time. Give it up, they're done.

I can't see how Oklahoma can be in the championship game now for a few reasons:

1. They didn't win their conference.

2. They lost the last game of the season (and that WILL matter come time for the coach's and AP polls to be submitted to the computer...especially when you look at the score).

3. They didn't win their conference.

4. See #5

5. They didn't win their conference.

At least the best player in college may actually win the heisman now.

Yeah, but it's not just one fucking game. This is their conference championship game, and the most high-profile game they've played all year (yes, including the Texas game)...and they choked. Do they deserve to be in the national title game after they choked in their biggest game of the year? Well, that's for the damn computer to decide.

Rout is on in Atlanta.

So then what if they go to the national championship and win? How many people are going to say they don't deserve it? How many are going to say it should be USC? When in all actuality USC could've been beaten by OU to. What if US f'n C loses to OU? Are you going to say OU doesn't deserve it then? What if they beat LSU? Then are you going to say they don't deserve it? Do we need to have a tournament now to decide who out of the 3 one loss teams deserve it?

OU has had A GREAT SEASON! They have had one of the best seasons EVER. And they fucking choked in the last game. The fact that they had such a great season should do something for them.

To say that they suck is beyond me.

By Jove, I think he's got it.

EDIT: And, of course, we have Miami (Ohio), TCU and Boise State, all with one loss.

There you go. Clear out all of the BCS bowls and turn it into a round robin tourney this year.

Sugar: OU vs. USC

Fiesta: USC vs. LSU

Orange: OU vs. LSU

Rose: Top two of the tourney play each other

And I don't see how LSU can't be atop OU after tonight. LSU lost to a better team (Florida > KSU), in a closer game, and Florida was arguably the hottest team in the nation at the time. OU got completely buttfucked in the biggest game of their season.

Why can't they do what they do in Basketball? That would clear all this controversy up.

And to anyone who's jumping on me for saying they are the best ever. READ MY FUCKING LIPS. During the season it certainly looked that way. There is NO DENYING THAT. However this game has proved that they are not the best ever. However has it proved that they are not the best his season? NO IT HAS NOT. The Championship game will prove who the best this season is. Plain and simple.

Oh and if OU goes to the national championship and wins.....will this be the first time somebody doesn't win there conference but wins the national title?

Oklahoma will not be in that game though, Damaramu...

It's certainly shaping up like they will. Look at how high there score is on the BCS. They aren't going to fall to #3.

No one knows where they will end up in the BCS. If they drop in the polls that will add points and subtract from USC and LSU, they will probably lose a couple of the computers costing some points. Anyone who says they think they know what the final BCS standings are is talking out of their ass.

Damn all of you...I want LSU vs. Oklahoma and the #1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY the University of Southern California Trojans to be shut out. It would be so beautiful to see the BCS fail so miserably...almost brings a tear to my eye.

Well, whatever happens, SOMEONE is going to be legitimately outraged at the outcome of the BCS. And SOMEONE, assuming they win their bowl game is going to have a legitimate claim to being the uncrowned champion.

Anyone remaining who thinks that the BCS is a superior system to a playoff either has a financial stake in the thing (i.e. the bowl commissioners) or is severely fucked in the head.

Yeah, have to wait for the Hawaii Boise state game which is just starting. Amazing how that game has significance in the whole picture..

The sweet smell of vindication fills the air as the ghost of 2000 is laid to rest. Next up: 1998.

I have a few things to say about this, for sure...

To the Bowl Selection Team: Two big middle fingers in the air, because you'll not be screwing KSU out of a big bowl game this year.

To the BCS: A big laugh, because the nightmare scenario is ON

To Rob E: Let's celebrate

To Mammogram-aramu: I try not to be a big shit talker when it comes to games, so instead I'll leave you with some words of wisdom...

...well, maybe they're too wise for you...

KSU 2003 BIG XII CHAMPIONS!

Kansas State goes to the Fiesta Bowl now and Texas goes to the Cotton Bowl and bumps Oklahoma State to the Holiday Bowl.
