ISportsFan 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2003 The submission that Brock put Benoit in to win, I've never seen it before. That's AWESOME. EDIT: How can anyone, let alone Benoit, bend in that way to sell the move? This match, no matter whether it lives up to what the spoilers said it was as a possible MOTYC, will go down in history as awesome in my book because of this finish. He actually has the Stretch Muffler in SD!: Shut Your Mouth and I think HCTP as well.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2003 I don't know about that. Wouldn't that sort of fly in the face of 'Chris Benoit: Wants World Title NO MATTER THE COST'? Unless you spin it as the WWE Title being the 'real' belt worth having. I dunno... I could see the WWE stuff being way more important than the WCW simply because the majority of the direct struggles for the strap have been in WWE. Benoit chose "starting over" in the WWE than being WCW champion. Why did he do it? Better for his family. For his friends. He sacrificed being champion for his family and friends. One of those "selfless" things. He knew WCW was going under, that the WWE was the place to be, so he'd rather be a slave in heaven than a king in hell. WCW then didn't recognize his title reign - he never was "officially" champion. Then you cut to when he entered the WWE. Him winning the title in the 4 way, Foley coming out and saying "nope". So close. Against Austin, Austin cheats to win in both matches, then Benoit suffers an injury at KOTR and comes back and has to start over. Kurt Angle at RR 03, he taps out - his biggest regret - he came so close in that match...
