Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 I've been using the web space Netscape provides with AIM for a month or so, but it seems to be down at the moment. It wouldn't be so much of a big deal if I didn't host my eBay pictures up there. So as of right now, I've got several auctions with no pictures. This is probably just a temporary thing, but does anyone know of a more reliable webspace provider that is either free or inexpensive?
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Ranchoweb.com gives you 1 MG of space for $9.95/year. I still use them for my avatar & sig pictures.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 What's its track record? Does it have a tendancy to crash at all?
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Hasn't bombed out on me, to the best of my knowledge. Every time I log into the various boards, my avatars (although this avatar here isn't hosted on Ranchoweb) and sig's show up. There's no bandwidth restrictions, either (to the best of my knowledge). From their home page: Our primary business is hosting images and providing seller tools for eBay and other auctions.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Well then, that sounds about right. Thanks, man.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2003 No problem. I'm sure there are free sites out there that would work, but when you look at the price (less than $1/month), Ranchoweb is practically free.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2003 Netscape is up and running again, but I'll surely keep my eyes on the alternatives for the near future.
