MrRant 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2003 The RIAA isn't after video traders. The MPAA is.
SpikeFayeJettEdBebop 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2003 What about porn?
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2003 RIAA, being the Recording Industry Association of America, deals only in music. I don't think anyone gives a shit about porn. Of course, you have to deal with the pop-ups and viruses and spyware and shit that get bundled with it, but to each his own.
Guest Fook Report post Posted December 5, 2003 Just out of curiosity, what about music videos? Who cares about me downloading those?
Guest BDC Report post Posted December 5, 2003 I wonder about that too, esp since they aren't exactly released for public consumption unless you're sitting by your VCR.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted December 5, 2003 Video's arent a concern because you're not really losing the money on it. The videos will still get played on MTV, VH1, BET, MTV2, FUSE or whatever no matter what. But if you download the new Spears album, you likely won't buy the album which means precious fucking Brit and JIVE won't get any $$$ (and rightfully so!) 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2003 Considering most bands make their money off touring, it's a big cop out by the RIAA anyway. If record sales made the bands the money then the Rolling Stones would have REALLY had a farwell tour. Of course, we learned this in 1993 but the country just forgot all of a sudden and tried to make file sharing people out to be monsters. And where did that rant come from? Sorry about that. The RIAA is only after those who share the music, but I wonder what about those who don't share it?
