chirs3 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 So... how 'bout those Final Fantasy villains, eh? Seifer rocked. He had potential - he was one of the few things in FFVIII that didn't make me bang my head into the wall - but he was wasted as a sidekick. Given a bigger role, he could've been better I thought. Guest Kamui Report post Posted December 8, 2003 What about villains from RPGs other than FF? Ghaleon is cool! How about just plain villains in videogames? Eggman/Dr. Robotnick was the one who started my love affair with the bishounen.
chirs3 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 What about villains from RPGs other than FF? Ghaleon is cool! Non-FF villains? That concept is unfamiliar to me. Let's see... I always did have a soft spot in my heart for Zio from Phantasy Star IV, best of the Genesis RPG's.

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 The best villains are not from FF. Jowy Blight, Luca Blight, Kahran Ramsus, Delita Hyral, Albedo, Yuber and many others smoke the FF villains. Seifer was a chump. He never did anything but screw up or get beat constantly by Squall.

Slayer 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 Angelslayer: a somewhat of a wise ass with a sense of humor. "...and a good friend" Although he may be pestering the female posters a wee bit much. Guest Kamui Report post Posted December 8, 2003 I like his purple suit. Shao Kahn is another cool fighting game villain. Kahn just seemed stupid and sterotypical to me, never liked him or any other MK villain.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 I like his purple suit. Shao Kahn is another cool fighting game villain. Eh...if we're going by just appearance, I suppose so. I thought it was quite hilarious when I saw some pictures of the shoots for MKII. Shao Kahn's actor (sprite wise, not voice) is tall, muscular...and really baby-faced. It's no wonder they put that mask on him. Really hard to seem threatening and evil when you look like that.

Guest Kamui Report post Posted December 8, 2003 But Kahn points and laughs at you in the middle of fights! Yeah, that WAS kinda cool, I guess. But after he lost in MKII, the excuse for bringing him back in MK3 was so fucking weak, it mine as well have been written by the WWE writers. He had such a good buildup too- they left him out of MK1 and had his henchman as the big boss instead, building up to the MKII fight. But then they had to go and fuck it up with that uber-weak MK3 return. Bah.

Anya 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 I know of the pics. The guy's name is Brian Glynn. I don't know where you could find the pics though, outside really old magazines. Gamepro had a ton back in the day. Including what Baraka's mask originally looked like. There's some pics of the shooting in MKDA, but none of Glynn in the Kahn suit. Anya 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 He had such a good buildup too- they left him out of MK1 and had his henchman as the big boss instead, building up to the MKII fight. Not really. There is no build to Kahn or Outworld in MK1. Kahn is never even mentioned in MK1. In MK1's story Tsung had no connection to Kahn. There is no explination for how Kahn survived turning to stone and blowing up in MK II.

He was supposed to be locked away in that world of his forever after losing the MK tournament to Liu Kang, but somehow because he brought his ex-wife back to life that opens the portals back up and completley makes that whole last tournament worthless. Riiiiight.

They spent all of the time between MK1 and MKII building up to it, explaining that Kahn is the boss. MK does this often- go to GameFAQs and try to read the MK story FAQ, and read how many times they revised everyone's histories (remember, in MK1 Raiden wanted to DESTROY THE WORLD!). He's not stuck in Outworld (I'm assuming there's other dimensions he can go to), but he can't try for another invasion of Earth until the next MK tournament. That's the whole point of MK3- he has to pull off the whole stupid Shiva thing to open the portal instead.
Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 I have an honest question: When did Final Fantasy get all, for lack of a better word, ghey? I mean, I remember playing a Game Boy version when you fought lizards and other assorted medieval creatures and whatnot. Now I see the commercial and they've got guns and Japanese chicks singing. What gives?
