Bored 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Wait...did they just say Florida State is going to the Orange Bowl? Did Miami get picked by the Fiesta Bowl or they actually going to have a re-match of a crappy game?
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Bobby Bowden's going to the Orange Bowl?? Color me surprised. ::waits 3 minutes to see what's up::

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I love how the BCS tries to claim USC is #3 in the nation. No, they are #3 in your BSC which should officially be called Bullshit Championship. I hope USC does win big cause those kids deserve a national championship. To say the best team in the Pac 10 isn't as good as the second best team in the Big 12 is a joke. It's a joke. The BCS doesn't work and the one time it worked was last year when even the damn AP had the match-up correct.
Lando Griffin 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 FSU vs Miami in the Orange Bowl...WTF?
Bored 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I'm stunned...they are passing up the Miami-Ohio State re-match that they could have hyped the shit out of and go with a game that wasn't very good the first time they played. My only guess is the Fiesta Bowl took Ohio State first. I knew that could happen but I thought maybe the BCS would convince them not to.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 GROSS. And FSU/Miami is opening the season in August. That's going to be THREE TIMES in eleven months! Shit, I'm bored already.
teke184 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Wow... I guess NOBODY wanted Florida State because the Orange really wanted Ohio State vs. Miami instead.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 So OU still has a chance. Man these guys on ABC are PISSED that OU is in that game. But I still like what OU had to say about it. "We can't help it. It is not our fault that we played that good throughout the season." Basically they played so good throughout the season that the BCS still held them up top. That right there shows that they deserve to be in the Championship. And if they dominate all over LSU and USC just squeaks by Michigan...then they may just be voted #1 in the AP. Bored 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Yup Kansas State/Ohio State in the Fiesta so they must have picked OSU first.
Lando Griffin 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 On the bright side, we hopefully get to see K-State crush Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Man....I wanted my national title again....but not like this. It's tainted.....
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 No, they won't. The AP will not punish USC for barely beating #4 in the nation. The only way Oklahoma or LSU gets it outright is if USC loses to Michigan. No other way.
ANKLELOCK 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Quite Frankly, I honestly think LSU beats the spit outta OU.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 So if USC beats Michigan in the Rose Bowl, unless something drastic happens in the Sugar Bowl you have split Champions.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Quite Frankly, I honestly think LSU beats the spit outta OU. Based on last night yes. Based on the way they play during the season. Not at all.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Sugar: OU/LSU Rose: Michigan/USC Orange: Miami/FSU Fiesta: OSU/KSU If somebody had predicted that two weeks ago, they'd have been laughed out of the building. Hilarious.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Quite Frankly, I honestly think LSU beats the spit outta OU. It depends. LSU is a great defense but if Oklahoma plays like Oklahoma instead of that god awful team I saw Saturday night....then it will be a damn good game but I think OU wins it. And is anyone else looking at these bowls and thinking "Man, these games don't sound fun at all."
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I can't believe they passed up a chance for Miami/OSU II and make huge money. I mean who outside of Florida is going to care about the Orange Bowl? Miami (OH) deserved a BCS bid over Miami and FSU.

Bored 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 You got it backwards. Florida is going to the Outback. They already accepted the invitation. Tennessee is going Peach picking. Yes I copied and pasted a list from the previous week but I corrected it.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 And didn't TCU say they weren't going to a bowl?
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I think LSU and Oklahoma sounds fun if Oklahoma plays like Oklahoma and not like....Big XII losers. Which is what they played like last night. If they play like Oklahoma...it's going to be good and they will win. Oh and like they said.........IT'S NOT OKLAHOMA'S FAULT THEY ARE IN THE GAME. THEY CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. The only thing they are guilty of is being so good during the season. They are there because of the way they played during the season. Not there fault. Bored 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 No they rejected the GMAC Bowl to weasel their way to getting a home game in the Ft. Worth Bowl but they still might get smoked by a very good Boise State team.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 No they rejected the GMAC Bowl to weasel their way to getting a home game in the Ft. Worth Bowl. Smart team. Home games means higher gate which means bigger payout which also means more state recruits will see you in a hometown bowl game. I like it.
Lando Griffin 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Boise State will own TCU. Who did Boise St. lose to anyway?
ANKLELOCK 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 This is nothing but an exact replay of 2001: Nebraska loses conference in last game. Still goes. Gets slaughtered. Oregon faces two loss but streaking Colorado team. Beats them. Miami/Oregon never happens. This year: OU gets killed in last game. No conference title. Still goes. Faces LSU. USC goes to play streaking 2-loss team in Michigan. USC will win. LSU will win. And LSU/USC will have never happened. Thank You BS.
