fairtoflair7 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2003 I don't know if any you watch the show. It's a great show up until the debacle of a payoff tonight. Basically, they contradicted the whole point of the show by the girl picking one of the models who came in the middle of the process and not the average, cool guy in Adam. I mean, the meaning that thew whole show wants to get across is that the average guy can get the hot girl.....Apparently not....The average guy, Adam, who lives in NY and is a very cool, nice guy, who's down to earth, has a very successful job and just a funny guy in general. But obviousy the girl ends up picking the better looking guy who lives with his parents and has no idea on what to do with his life. That ending just made me sick. Seeing the promo for the 2nd one, it looks really bad. I'd rather them do it with a guy and a bunch of plain looking girls. I don't think the guy would take it as well as a girl would. I normally don't like reality shows, but the premise for this one sounded kinda interesting, so I watched the first episode and got sucked in from there. I'm like "What is she thinking, choosing this pretty boy 26-year-old who's still in school, still lives with his parents, and doesn't know what he wants to do with his life?" And it seemed to me like, yeah, maybe she was afraid to pick Adam after she found out he was a millionaire, so that she didn't come across as being a money-grubbing whore. And the next season of it...oh, geezus. Her reaction was great and contained many, many expletives. The "hot" guys for next season seem to be bigger jerks than the hot guys for this season, though. That one blonde guy talking sounded very, very full of himself. So it's either gonna be really bad or kinda interesting in a watching a train wreck sort of way. I don't know if this is even worth trying to argue, since it'll probably be an uphill battle, but not all women are in it just for the looks or the money. Then again, I thought Adam was cute anyway. Maybe I'm weird (and I probably am), but "hot" guys just do not appeal to me. They're normally assholes plus they make me feel uncomfortable. Throughout the whole season, she kind of came across to me as a more genuine person with each episode, so if she picked Adam, I think America would have forgiven her. I mean to do that with someone who she barely spent time with obviously would piss off anyone and I don't blame Fredo for getting pissed but I don't think he should have walked out. He should have confronted the situation.
