iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 Here's my look at it. *Friend (who watches wrestling calls up his friend who is sort of into it)* Friend 1: Dude, Rock is on! *Friend 2 turns on TV* Friend 2: Cool. They need Rock bad.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I was more hyped by the fans going BONKERS over the Rock and Foleys interactions with him than the Rock himself... cept for his interaction with ~LILIAN~ which had me on the floor.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 And DAMMIT Dupree should have done his DANCE infront of the Rock during the promo rather than after he beat the Rock down... that would have been PERFECT material for the Rock to blast and would've gotten the move over BIG TIME. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 So the WWE has 3 hours of television - Heat, Velocity, and Confidential - which companies like TNA and the UFC would KILL for, as well has 4 hours of television to hype those shows up. And they are getting ECW-like numbers... hell, that's actually WORSE than ECW, who had no promotion and followed up ROLLER JAM and preceeded ROCKINBOWL on Friday Nights. Jesus fuckin Christ WWE, DO SOMETHING with these shows!!!
Guest Barcelona Report post Posted December 10, 2003 How the hell do they compile ratings nowadays? Are Nielson boxes extinct?
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 ROLLER JAM Hey, man, don't insult Roller Jam. Nevada Hot Dice ruled. And is anyone gonna start the SmackDown spoilers thread?
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 The Rock's return was certainly a "moment" however the last time Rock returned, it proved ineffective after two weeks. Lets see how far WWE can use the Rock THIS TIME, before it reverts back into the same old show.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 Dude, I wanted to smack JR for saying "This is a moment" - fucking hell, that's a retarded thing to say. WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU SAY THAT? THAT SORT OF A THING RUINS A MOMENT!

Jesus fuckin Christ WWE, DO SOMETHING with these shows!!! Weekend night time slots are the worst times to have a wrestling show.....people do go out you know. I could see TNA taking the Heat time slot and UFC on Friday in between the basketbal show and the japanese game show or on Sunday as part of the SPIKE TV Redneck block of car & truck shows. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 Heat once did high 4's. ECW on TNN did 1.30 which is like .7 points higher than Velocity and that's without promotion. That's confidentials highest mark. WCW Saturday Night in 96 and 97 used to beat out RAW in the ratings and was a staple for the promotion until Nitro and Thunder "blossomed". Saturday Night Main Events did 9's and 10's. There's potential in the market, the WWE isn't hungry enough to capitalize on it.
Guest Brian Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I agree with Rudo, Rock and Foley's reaction was what relly put that segment over for me. Rock just doesn't have as much edge to him when he's a face, and the Rock/Foley interactions seemed to lack from some of their other encounters.
