Oh they announced the teams for the tag tourney, and it looks BAD ASS. Teams: Super Dragon/American Dragon CM Punk/Chris Hero B-Boy/Homicide Chris Daniels/Messiah Phoenix Star/Zokre Joey Ryan/Scott Lost Havana Pitbulls Scorpio Sky/Quicksilver (turned heel tonight) Jardi Frantz/M-Dogg 20 Excalibur/Johnny Storm Sal/Vito Thomaseli Hardkore Ink Sara Del Ray/Apollo Ballard Brothers Disco Machine/Rising Son Mystery Team GOD DAMN I wish I could go. Well, for starters, Johnny Storm is not very good. Even as far as spot-guys go, he is not that great and certainly nothing that gets me excited. I could think of two dozen or more guys who i'd rather see in that position. I like the concept of a two day tag team tournament because I am a fan of tournaments as it is and tag tournaments in particular since they are a rarity. The lineup looks good, just not mind blowing or anything. That's probably because I don't get into all the B-Boy, Johnny Storm, Messiah, and Super Dragon love as much as everyone else. Not that they are all bad, but they don;t come off as "mind blowingly good" to me. Everything else looks real good though. The show should be good and a lot of fun, I just don't get all the excitmenet over some of the individual wrestlers that have been announced. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

What's the deal with the Messiah/Daniels tag, btw? Is it just 2 random, big names being put together to get people to see the show, or is there an actual story behind it that I'm missing? Believe me when Paul T. announced those teams live I was marking like a 13 year girl at a N'Sync concert. with all that talent If done correctly that tag tourney could be the greatest shows in recent memory anywhere. As for the show The Opener was very entertaining but short and the ending came out of nowhere. AXP Vs. Havana Pitbulls was fantastic. Excalibur Vs. Bosh was very fun... The AXP's heel turn afterwards was good too. Jardi/M-Dogg Vs. Ballard was also very fun. M-Dogg is amazing live. Samoa Joe Vs. BJ was good... but could have been better (though my friend hated it for some reason) The 6-man was freaking insane... too much good stuff to list. It ended with Pearce pinning Frankie after a Piledriver on the belt. Afterwards frankie was carted out on a table. Jimbo already said what I'd say above in response to the assertion that Storm isn't very good, so I'm not going to really address that, but instead just add that he works well with guys of any size - his matches with guys of different styles like Daniels, Doug Williams, Storm, Lynn, Ki, Spanky, Barker, Xavier (the FWA one), and all the Japanese guys he's worked with prove that. Him coming to So-Cal would also give the So-Cal indy circuit some much-needed promotion. That's another benefit, so is ask again - why are we the only two people marking out like motherfuckers, LOL? The tourney sounds mad awesome, although like mentioned, Messiah/Daniels - while a cool vision of both guys in the ring at the same time - really shouldn't be teaming. M-Dogg/Jardi, Havana Pitbulls or Disco/Rising Son. Be interesting to how he and Excalibur blend as a team. I'm thinking they will do very well. And yeah alot of teams make no sense... but heck did SD/B-Boy as a team make sense? and they produced some awesome matches. I'm sure these All Star throw together teams will do just the same.
