NoCalMike Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Sometimes at NIGHT(mostly), when I am scouring the boards here on smartmarks, I click on a thread and this message shows up......... Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 6684 bytes) in /home/virtual/site4/fst/var/www/html/sources/Topics.php on line 751 I am just wondering, what exactly does it mean. Is it my puter or is it something with the site? This never happens ANYWHERE else except on this board, and not THAT often as it is.....
Guest frowned Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 it happens on quite a few boards that I frequent, only thing you can do is copy any particularly long messages before you click submit and then when the error arises hit refresh or back.
Guest Fook Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 It happens all the time here. Just keep refreshing and/or clear your temporary internet files to make it go away.
MrRant Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 It's just the board running out of memory.
NoCalMike Posted December 18, 2003 Author Report Posted December 18, 2003 It's just the board running out of memory. Yep, I figured it had nothing to do with my own computer since it recently happened to me from using the school's computer.
