USC Wuz Robbed!

R.I.P. Mr. Vulture

I am suspecting HCTP is responsible. Ever since I played HCTP, my PS2 has started freezing up on me. Now it freezes up on other games too. And for the past week, it won't even read a damn DVD or PS2 disc. Tonight I came to terms with it and I called it dead.

Strange.

Do use a lot of Create-A-Wrestlers? I've found my PS2 makes a bizarre noise whenever I play as my CAW and watch his entrance etc. Thankfully for me, I'm not very big on CAW's so it is no big deal.

I have, however, played it fairly often and encountered no problems whatsoever. I find it hard for a game disc to be responsible for the degeneration of an entire Playstation 2 console, but then again I have no knowledge whatsoever what what makes the things work and what sets them off.

I don't see how a game disc can ruin your system.. well, unless it's covered in fucking peanut butter or something. :P

Funny you should mention that, that's how my Saturn broke down.

One of the more popular reasons I've read for why HCTP (supposedly) does this to PS2s is because a batch of the games are defective, as in unbalanced, or thicker than other PS2 discs. But who knows.

Thank you. I'm thinking it was defective. And last night when I took the HCTP out of the console I was shocked to see DEEP scratch marks on the CD and it wasn't there when I popped it in. I tried Madden 2004, and same, DEEP scratch marks. I am quite baffled.
