DMann2003 Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 I got a Que! DVD Burner 4.7GB and an X-pert DVD Maker USB 2.0 to transfer tape to DVD for Christmas. Now begins the long, interesting (and probably costly) journey to take my 200 plus wrestling tapes and burn them onto DVD. Has anyone burned a whole PPV onto DVD before, any suggestions?
Jobber of the Week Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 I've burned WrestleMania III onto a DVD before. Took a lot of work, and had to make a concession here and there to make it fit, but it worked. You can either record it in some goofy recording software or you can do it the old-fashioned way. The software I've seen for DVD making/editing either fucks up or has horrible picture quality, so I do it the long, painful way. It also sucks up tons of drive space, so you better have a big hard drive with lots of empty room.
Lil' Bitch Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 Where did you get the DVD burner and how much did it cost?
DMann2003 Posted December 28, 2003 Author Report Posted December 28, 2003 I don't know where it was got or how much, it was a Christmas gift. And JOTW, what would be the old fashioned way?
DMann2003 Posted December 28, 2003 Author Report Posted December 28, 2003 Oh my hard drive has 80GB, I think I'll be okay
DMann2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Author Report Posted December 31, 2003 Okay I've installed DVDPro, NeoDVD, Power Producer, B'sRecorder Gold5, I connected the composite video and audio from my VCR, installed the USB port- and I'm getting no image on my computer from my VCR- WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!?
syxx2001 Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 My buddy might be able to help you. If you have mIRC, go to irc.phazenet.net and go to the room #wrestlingshouseofhardcore and his name is kanie, it should be one of the top ones. Tell him syxx sent you. He caps stuff for WHH like ROH shows. I burnt Epic Encounter and Revenge of the Prophecy to a DVD once. It took like 4 hours and was a pain in the ass though. I have also burned The Simpsons Seasons 7 and 8 onto a DVD but I had to take out a few episodes. I burned S.W.A.T last weekend I think it was. I was also gonna make a Best of ROH DVD and a Best of the X-Division, but I didn't feel like it after the thought.
DMann2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Author Report Posted December 31, 2003 Thanks Syxx, I went to the site, but it just lead to an Apache documentation site. *Sigh* I guess I can try Radio Shak or Best Buy tomorrow, I'm guessing something's wrong with the connection.
DMann2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Author Report Posted December 31, 2003 Oh nevermind, I don't have mIRC, I'm somewhat internet illiterate sometimes.
