Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 30, 2003 And then immediately rehired by the other GM. On this show we just have an evil GM
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Nuh-uh. No way. The Benoit character has blown, one way or another EVERY SINGLE big shot he has had. If he fights for the belt again he MUST win. He blew it against Rocky multiple times. He blew it against Austin multiple times He blew it against Angle He blew it against Brock. fans are going to start saying "fuck this" if he walks away from another hyped match without the belt. Exactly, AS. Its either now or never, The stakes couldn't be any higher.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 I just hope for Angle's sake they go with HBK/Angle, and Angle retires after the match. Not a 'retirement match'...there's one of them, if not two, every week now. Stick Angle on commentary with Tazz and Cole, so he's still involved in the show but not getting physically involved. He can do all the goofy skits Tazz does, but he'd also be an informative thrid commentator...like Tazz, only better. Plus if he wants, he can be goofy as he likes, and not worry about harming his character or popping the crowd. Then when the right guy comes along from OVW or from elsewhere, Angle leaves the announce position as a manager. Maybe form a new Team Angle, if they can get guys in the Angle mould like Benjamin and Haas. Anything that keeps him on the show, without crippling him sooner than he, sadly, probably already will be.
Guest Goodear Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Right no one is going to like this. The best thing to do with Angle right now is downgrade him to a comedy midcard role. I know. I know. But in Kurt's current physical condition of breaking down every few months and an apparent failure to transfer his charisma to a serious character, the best thing to do for the guy is to let him be a goof for 5 minutes of match time a week. Rather than shoving himjn into a role he's no good at and making him go 10-15 minutes a week... scale the guy back and maybe he won't actually die in the ring. Guest nikowwf Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Give him the HBK type role. Make him wrestling an exception, rather than the rule. He should wrestle twice a month maybe, or put him in tag on house shows and don't let him do too much. HBK wrestles like 2 or 3 times a month, yet is positioned at the top of the card and his matches are usually really good. No reason Angle can't do that. niko
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Of course. They could do skits were Kurt pretends to be a mobster and uses goofy mobster movie phrases. Hey, that would be pretty fucking funny.

I like Cucaracha's idea.
