Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted January 5, 2004 I'll join the gang of who sucked at beating the Axem Rangers. First real boss (to get star) I had trouble beating was that...thing in Seaside Town (I think thats it) where some of SMithy's guys transformed into towns people. TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 Serious Sam. The boss with the spaceship that always dies, then... gets refilled. I swear, if i'd not looked on a walkthrough, the count would be up to about 39 days.

The Axem Rangers were easy enough if you attack them in the right order. Start with Pink because she heals the rest of them. Then concentrate on Green (lowest hp), Yellow (has powerful attacks, good to get him out of the way), Black, and Red in that order. When Red's the only one left, have two of your players attack him and the third heal everyone due to Red jumping onto that robot head and attacking all of you at once. As for Yardovich, he was a bastard. There was a way to tell the difference between the original and the clone though, but I can't remember it right now. Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 How about the last boss of N64's South Park, the giant robot? NO MATTER WHAT I DID, HE KEPT REFILLING HIS ENERGY!

I always went Black, Pink, Green, Yellow, Red. Since I haven't played the game (no pun intended) in so long, I forgot who the bosses were in Mallows hometown. If I got by the bird in the 1 on 1 battle, thenI usually had a good chance of winning, but I had to pray he did the beak peck a lot to survive it.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted January 6, 2004 To continue in the Mario string of games, I still can't beat the damn final boss in M&L Superstar Saga. I fought "her" for about an hour and still couldn't win.
The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2004 I never really had trouble with the Axem Rangers (or Smithy, for that matter) because the first thing I noticed was "This one has healing magic. YOU MUST DIE." I think if you didn't bump Pink off right away, that'd extend the battle by quite a bit. Goddamn Emerald Weapon... I lost 3 hours of gameplay because of that fucker. I did it in 20 minutes. At least, I think it was that...whatever the time limit on the fight is if you don't have the right materia, that's how long it took, almost to the second. Granted, I was being REALLY CHEAP and used KotR linked to both HP & MP restorers, then mimed it over and over, but really, I think the fact I was able to use KotR enough to kill the fucking thing within twenty minutes is a feat in and of itself, so nyeah. I don't honestly know what the longest boss battle I've ever been faced with is...it may have been those fucking two Shredders at the end of TMNT II (I fucking shit a brick when I saw I had to fight two of the goddamned bastards) or it may have been Liquid Snake in MGS - if you wanna count losing, then re-trying fairly constantly over like, a 2-week period. Outside of that, I don't really know.

I didn't think two shredders was that tough. I pretty much breeze through all the TMNT games. Even the latest one was simple enough. To bring in more NES titles, Friday the 13th is IMPOSSIBLE to beat unless I suck that bad at it. And this doesn't count really, but if you don't play the game for a while, then Mike Tyson at the end of Punch Out always murders me because I forget his upper-cut pattern. Once I have that memorized, easy win.
