SABU! SABU! SABU!

The 1990s called... they want their overhyped spot monkey back.  Why not just bring in Dean Malenko if you want a 'surprise guy from Benoit's history that no many people will care about'.

Well, the idea isn't to push Sabu, is it.

With him coming up from behind they could pull out a sequence similar to the Austin/Rock ending in (was it?) 1999. The fans will have a collective heart attack if Sabu attacks from behind, pulls a few of his stunts and throws Benoit over the top rope before Benoit catches the top rope in the last moment and starts his comeback which obviously ends woth Benoit eliminating Sabu.

I'd sooooooooooo mark out for that.

And then Goldberg would punch through the window to pull him out.

Knowing Goldberg's luck with cars he'll break the window and fuck up his arm and bleed all over the place like last time he tired that.

I think that was implied.

I believe Sabu was almost included in the '96 or '97 Rumble due to the ECW/WWE relationship at that time. He'd even planned his own elimination; roll out with an opponent, set up a table, put the guy on it, and put him through the table with a plancha (eliminating himself).

I remember that too. I think it's from an interview with Sabu himself.

That scenario would probably look hotter in 1997 than it would now though.
