Guest Korgath Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 When I first saw this piece of news I knew AS would have a field day. I'm surprised Torrie's on that list though... Despite being the newest Playboy covergirl, she's hardly made any headlines since her marriage to Kidman. No, playing Santa's helper doesn't count.

Despite being the newest Playboy covergirl, she's hardly made any headlines since her marriage to Kidman. No, playing Santa's helper doesn't count. Her Playboy ish didn't sell all that great, she kills ratings as a long-term character, and she has no merchandise to speak of. Even if she did, who the fuck would buy it? I don't believe she's marketable. Any generic blond, big-tittied woman can come out once a month, restle a T&A match, then go away. Same effect, but it would be cheaper for WWE.
Masked Man of Mystery Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 Hurricane, I agree, is extremely marketable, but just like Ultimo, they'd rather keep a WCW down instead of doing what's logical.

deancoles Posted January 6, 2004 Author Report Posted January 6, 2004 RANDY ORTON IS MORE MARKETABLE THAN THE ROCK? *shoots self* Mark Jindrak is more marketable than Orton.
humongous2002 Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 RANDY ORTON IS MORE MARKETABLE THAN THE ROCK? *shoots self* RAW Doesn't Make Top Ten Rated Shows Posted By Ashish on 01.05.04 Football and Spongebob dominate... RAW did not make the top ten rated cable shows last week, thanks to NFL Football and episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. Two NFL games on ESPN took the top two spots, followed by an episode of NFL Primetime on ESPN, followed by several episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. The second hour of RAW was tied for 11th with The Amanda Show in Nickelodeon. Credit: Associated Press That's what happens when you have Orton,Lita,Bradshaw,Sable and Torrie on your top ten stars list instead of Y2J,RVD, and Benoit.
Guest Pigsy Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 RANDY ORTON IS MORE MARKETABLE THAN THE ROCK? *shoots self* As MARTYEWR said on the first page, the lists are (probably) not in a particular order. I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the lack of a McMahon (other than HHH) on either list. The lack of Jericho is really disturbing though.

NYU Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 I'm sorry...but even the inclusion of Booker T. over Jericho/RVD rubs me the wrong way. I can see Trish cause she's their most marketable women's wrestler but Booker T. has just been doing nothing almost the whole year while RVD was IC Champ and Jericho had a classic feud with HBK. Also the absence of Kane kinda surprises me. I don't want to pull a Rush Limbaugh here or anything, but Booker T is on that Raw list for one reason. It's because he's black. If you look at the 19 other people on that list, only one other person is black.....and he's only half (The Rock, if you're not sure ). I'm sure Vince doesn't want to get negative publicity or complaints from stockholders that 19 of his top 20 wrestlers are basically white, so he thought it would be more convenient to just put another African-American wrestler onto the list. It's not like it's a huge deal or anything, but it explains why Booker T would be on the list rather than someone else that has been shoved down our throats. It looks just to be a race-relations move so Vince can avoid a possible racist accusation down the line.
Masked Man of Mystery Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 Booker would be amrketable if they pushed him at all. I mean, the perfect idea would be to steal a page from the LoTR DVDs and package a Ultimate Booker T Collection with glove shaped book ends
Guest Stunt Granny Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 Jericho is probably the most marketable personality the WWE has. But he'll never be given a chance again after his first title reign was called one of the biggest busts in history accoriding to Vince himself.

But he'll never be given a chance again after his first title reign was called one of the biggest busts in history accoriding to Vince himself. How is that, when the ratings and buyrates were higher (although sliding) than they were during the following HHH reign, despite how crappy he was booked?
