Sandman9000 Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 All right, I've got the .bin and the .cue file, now what exactly do I need to do with it in order to use the program I've, um, "acquired." Burn it, download a program to run it, get a voodoo priest, what?
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 (edited) Bin/Cue files are cd backups/images made with CDRWin. CDRWin or DVD Decrypter will let you burn the cd image to a disk. Probably other cd burning programs like Nero would work too. Or get Daemon Tools, it'll let you treat it as a normal CDrom without having to burn it to a disk. Edited January 6, 2004 by I'm That Damn Zzzzz
Guest Flyboy Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 Nero works like a charm for .bin/.cue files.
Sandman9000 Posted January 6, 2004 Author Report Posted January 6, 2004 Burn straight, nothing fancy, and it'll work?
Insane Bump Machine Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 Burn straight, nothing fancy, and it'll work? No, you can't just burn the two files on a cd and expect it to work. You have to use the 'burn image' function of your burn program. Take Nero, for example. You start the program, click 'new collection'. In the window that pops up click 'open..' in the lower right corner. There you change the file type to 'image files(*.nrg,*.iso,*.cue) and select your .CUE file. Should work like a charm. If you don't need the whole thing on a cd you can also open the image with daemon tools. Google is your friend.
razazteca Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 Alcohol 120% can burn all types of "image files"
Jobber of the Week Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 Burn straight, nothing fancy, and it'll work? Assuming you're using Nero, which most people do, look for Burn Image, then in the box with file types, look for Cuesheet (*.cue)
Guest bort Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 VCDgear also works good and is easy to use
