Nakamura's injuries force resignation of title...

Recommended Posts

Nak's injuries have forced him to relinquish the belt until his injuries are healed. A tournament will be created so that there can be a temporary holder of the belt until Nak's return.

My vote for the winner of the tourney? Sasaki, because Nak's return to face Sasaki would be astronomical, and him defeating the hated outsider to win the belt is going to be HUGE. Count on that shit...

This only furthers my opinion that Takayama is a complete dumbass.

What you talkign about? You mean Tak going after the face, a weak spot, showing PSYCHOLOGY from him taking a beating on New Year's Eve?

Tak just went out there and did his job. If Nak wanted to be protected, he would have worn protections, simple as that...

You know typically when you work with someone you try to you know not hurt them. Not stiff them in an injuried area.

Whatever about Stuart saying exactly the same thing, the idea makes so much sense, and would be such a cash cow for NJ its scary. Go Sasaki, I guess.

The only problem with Sasaki as champ is the fact he's not under contract with NJ at the moment. NJ didn't even let Takayama have the belt until he signed a small 6 month contract with the company. The problem with signing Sasaki right now is the risk of killing all the recent "Heat" he's acquired from turning his back on the promotion and leaving it at a very needy time (Right after Muto & friends did the same thing). He's looked at as a traitor by hardcore NJ fans, but if NJ signs him. Will it kill off that "Traitor" feeling that Sasaki has adopted? If NJ can somehow sign Sasaki to a similar deal as that of Takayama it would be great, but they need to keep it as secret as possible and let him keep the most of his "Outsider" personality as they can...

You gotta love when Inoki-ism runs wild on you. I'm not a Nakamura fan yet. I haven't watched enough of his work to really determine whether I like him or hate him, but at least it looked like NJ was gonna give the kid the ball and let him run with it.

Thanks to the power of Inoki-ism shoving wrestlers into shoots, this run has been stopped dead in it's tracks. Again, I'm not saying Nakamura was the answer, but at least they looked like they were gonna give him more of a chance than Tenzan.
