This is a double-edged sword of excitement for me

While I am a Vikes fan, Gibbs was my favorite coach while growing up because of his plug'n'play QB system and just plain efficient coaching ability

On the other side, I'd hate to see him pull a legacy crusher, a la Seifert with the Panthers

He won't. Never mind that Seifert's legacy was riding Bill Walsh's coattails. Gibbs has been successful everywhere he's been. There's no reason to think he won't be this time. He might have been out of the game for 11 years, but I promise the NFL hasn't passed him by.

This is a concundrum for me, since I've always liked Gibbs, but always hated the Natives.

I'm in the same boat as Tom. There was always something about Gibbs style I liked. Not taking away from Parcells, but Gibbs showed it's not always necessary to be a hard nose to the grind coach like Parcells was.

And speaking of which, I can't wait to see that coaching rivalry revived, though it'll feel quite different with Parcells leading the Cowboys instead of the Giants this time around
