So who calls the actual Rumble?

Recommended Posts

OK, this should be the announcing team:

Vince, Bishoff and Heyman.

Just think about it! Vince coul ddo play-by-play and talk up the home-grown talent, Bischoff could talk up the WCW guys and Heyman could act like Rhyno has a chance of winning.

I don't care who it is just as long as it's not JR & The King. Since I'm going to the Rumble anyway, though, I won't have to worry about it until I pick up the DVD. I would pick Cole & Tazz, especially with Benoit probably lasting the entire thing. I'm a Cole-Miner...

This is funny on so many levels.

NOT.

The Cole hate is really unwarranted these days. I see no problem with his announcing, and the gaffes that people point to (ie. chain link fence and its hazards, 300 pound stairs) were... how long ago?

(checks calendar)

(realizes that this is 2004)

(checks older calendars)

(fishes deep in his closet for 1998 and 1999 calendars)

(finds "Michael Cole Fucked Up" stickers on the calendars)

(compares to 2003)

(sees none)

Cole/Tazz all the way.

I just like hearing the "Vince is about to spooge" voice that he maintained during intense parts of matches. You know, that version that sounds like he's building up to something and is a couple of degrees higher in pitch than his usual announcing voice.
