Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted January 11, 2004 I don't see Carolina being able to beat the Pats, Colts, or Packers. Fuck man, no one thought they'd beat the Rams. The Packers are grossly overated because of this whole higher power shit with Favre. The Colts are not unlike the Rams were their defense totally dictates how a game goes. If Manning is shakey, they go down with him...just the what happened tonight. And the Pats? Well I don't see them getting the victory tonight let alone making it to the Superbowl. But I am allowing myself to be surprised. McNair will be HUGE tonight...just a hunch.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Brady was shaky all last year. He was terrible in the first week, but he was never taken out. Warner brought the Rams to the promise land, it was downright fucking stupid to take him out. Bulger fucking sucks. Brady also played with a screwed up shoulder all of last year. Just to let ya know. And Warner was hurt all year last year as well. Whats your point? I was simply saying one so-so year after being the MVP in the league shouldn't make him a second stringer. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Defense and solid ground work wins the Super Bowl and Carolina's defense and ground package might be enough to get them into it and if they get into it...they have a good chance.

Fuck, their throwing game isn't anything to shake a stick at either.

McNair will be HUGE tonight...just a hunch. really, you need to stop letting your hatred for the Pats just cloud everything. McNair is hobbled and he didn't throw any TD passes against the Pats last time...he ran in for them. This time we have Ted Washington, Mike Vrabel, Ted Johnson, and Willie McGinest back on defense(they didn't play in week 5). If you've ever tried running with a pulled muscle in bitter cold you'd know how horrible it hurts and I don't see McNair being able to do that.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Actually alot of people were saying Carolina could beat the Rams. Alot of the ESPN people and majority of the Fox pregame crew said they could.

If the back up wins games then he should stay the starter no matter what. Warner with a gimp hand is not as good as Bret Favre with a hand injury or McNair with a full body cast. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Christ, shut the f*ck up about Warner already. He's not the QB, he's done in St. Louis. When McNabb throws and incomplete pass, do they scream for A.J Feeley? Tell Warner and his goofy wife to enjoy Arizona or Oakland. That was directed at the announcers, just to be clear. It wouldn't hurt to give Warner a chance since they're already down by 2 scores.

Remember when everyone said Manning wasn't going to do shit against the Broncos because of what happened in the last game? Exactly. Thats all in the past. The Pats have a great advantage becaue its in their building...and its fucking cold. I just have a HUNCH that the Titans are gonna whip something together tonight for a surprise victory. Like honestly, how many thought the Panthers were going to defeat Rams? And maybe Brady should've sat out if he was injured so badly. Maybe then they woulda made the playoffs. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 11, 2004 When McNabb throws and incomplete pass, do they scream for A.J Feeley? Until around week 5 yes...yes they were. Well I believe Koy Detmer is still McNabb's backup.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 We're talking about the Patriots? Talking about hate clouding what the Patriots do? *raised hand* They can do no right in my eyes.....
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted January 11, 2004 If Brady sat out we would have had a worse record than 9-7...Damon Huard wasn't going to take us anywhere. You're missing the big point though, we beat the Titans without the team's sack leader, run stuffer and 2 oter key LBers in the game. With these guys healthy and major upgrades how are we worse, because you're obviously saying we're worse off if the Titans are going to win.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted January 11, 2004 We're talking about the Patriots? Talking about hate clouding what the Patriots do? *raised hand* They can do no right in my eyes..... I agree with you. Though they have a terrific coach, amazing defense, and strive against adversity. I think Tom Brady is overated...impressive stats aside.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 The Pats back-up at the time was Damon Huard who can barely throw with a good shoulder. Also, I said if the Rams didn't give it to Faulk and just tried to put the game in Bulger's hands, then they would lose. Marshall Faulk: 12 carries 39 yards (NO EXCUSE for running him outside the tackles when he was getting 5-6 yards between the tackles. And no excuse for only 12 carries) Faulk: 4 catches 12 yards Horrible Martz strikes again. The Rams deserve to lose as long as he is coach.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Fine, but Bulger isn't much better. If Warner is done, then St Louis has to go out and get a QB in the off-season. Bulger just can't get the job done. They should fire Martz while they are at it.

I HATE when people say "well they lost to them last time therefore they will again". What happened has in the past. Don't live in the past, go with the future. I hope the Pats are better prepared and down to earth than you are. They need to stay realistic and not get over-confident. They are a great team, who to win, has to avoid getting that Boston Red Sox sized chip off their shoulder.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Bulger is their QB of the near future, so let him take his lumps. Well St Louis fans need to settle for years of mediocrity then. He simply has proven he can't do it. Look at the weapons he has failed to utalize.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 The Pats have a chip??? Since when? I think the Titans can win, I don't think they will but I know they have a damn good shot. Also, NOW you get the ball to Faulk....YOU IDIOTS!

Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted January 11, 2004 I'm not looking past the Titans, I just can't see them being better when McNair is now gimping about (unlike in week 5), Eddie George has a seperated shoulder and was held to like nothing when he was healthy, and our defense is healthy this time. Also the Titans would have lost by 11 if they didn't just for the sake of making a FG make one as the clock expired in the 4th(they didn't even get to kick it off...FG ended the game)
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 The only way I could see Bulger doing anything is if Martz goes. I still don't think he is that good, but at least we would know for sure. Either Martz or Bulger is the problem (or both) and at least one has to go.
