EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 WWE Considering Angle Heel Turn Could he turn heel? WWE is considering turning Kurt Angle heel for a program with Eddy Guerrero. This would explain why Angle is involved in the Chavo/Eddy split angle. Chavo is now expected to move on to the cruiserweight division and feud with Rey Mysterio. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 Only if he brings back the medals and goes to the heel Angle he was when he had hair.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 So, they turn Chavo on Eddy only to have Chavo move onto the cw division w/ no match against Eddy? That's our Vince. *Cheesy 80's sitcom music hits*
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 Only if he brings back the medals and goes to the heel Angle he was when he had hair. Angle's peak was at Royal Rumble 2003, not back when he had hair.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 Wow, ANOTHER heel run for Angle. That shouldn't completely suck. The only way it would work is if Angle went balistic and stopped with the comedy - and that won't happen in a feud with Eddie Guerrero.
Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted January 10, 2004 I'd rather see no Eddie/Chavo blow off match and Eddie kept up in the card then have the match and have whatever Chavo does after indirectly effect Eddie. The way I see it Angle gets involved in the Eddie/Chavo blow off match and turns then, setting up an Eddie/Kurt fued which is gold because Kurts a great exaggerated seller which will work perfect with Eddie's lie/cheat/steal offense, and can still make him look stronger than he has been used. This could be a good thing for both guys.
Guest Fook Report post Posted January 10, 2004 I find Angle as a face is quite bland, so I fully support a heel turn. Also, I see a Team Angle reunion. And that can't be bad.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 So, will what stereotypical Latino stuff will Angle bring to the table?
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 They need to do Eddy/Chavo based on the reaction to the heel turn on Smackdown. I just hope that they do it like Bret/Owen where it ended up helping both guys.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 I always loved Angle as a face. He plays a great heel, but I just can't boo the man. I'm against another Angle heel turn.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Eddie/Chavo is definitely a fragile feud at the moment since they spent so much time developing it that a quick pay-off would probably piss off fans. The transition into an Angle feud would have to be handled carefully as not to devalue Chavo/Eddie. I think, maybe, Chavo vs. Eddie at the rumble - Eddie wins by cheating. The next Smackdown has Kurt questioning Eddies methods - that a true champion doesn't cheat. Heyman sees that since Kurt is such a righteous individual, and since he has such an interest in the Guerreros family affair, that he should be the special guest referee for the rematch at No Way Out. Kurt ends up screwing Eddie, Chavo gets his "Owen-esque" win, and Eddie and Kurt get a Mania match. Of course, this could be done for the Rumble, Eddie vs. Kurt at NWO, but that would be rushing things.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 This all means that it's the "Angle, hypocritical says-he's-a-good-guy/acts-like-a-bad-guy, heel" and Eddie is the "true-to-himself/proud-to-be-a-cheater" which harkens back to Austin/Hart. Now, since it's Angle, he'll act like a total goof when selling it and it will lean more towards comedy than anything serious, so I'll stop the comparison right there. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 11, 2004 SILLY HEAD~! Angle/Cena as Austin/Hart And an Angle/Eddy match at Mania is almost guaranteed to be a low card match. ESPECIALLY with the direction they are going in now. And that just cannot be.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Austin/Hart wasn't exactly main eventing that card either. It was the 5th match in a 7 match card.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Same thing with Rock/Hogan. And their were four matches at XIX that were presented as ME type matches w/o MEing. That's all I ask. Make sure it's not a match that everyone will forget by the end of the night.
Mole 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 I always liked Angle as a heel, he is so damn good at it. I just miss those "You Suck" chants too, they are golden.
Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted January 11, 2004 I think that match would do better for itself in the midcard, kind of a HBK/Jericho sleeper match.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 11, 2004 . I just miss those "You Suck" chants too, they are golden. ... Uh, sure. I think that match would do better for itself in the midcard, kind of a HBK/Jericho sleeper match. Jericho/Shawn is a match that I personally consider the beginning of the Mania XIX ME match string. Jebus 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Man, Angle is gonna put Luger to shame with all the turns he's made...and the dozen more he'll make within the next 3 years.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Well, at least being a heel means he'll actually get to keep titles. His WWE Originals song is heelish, but is very awful. "The only white rapper in tune with the brothas." I thought he'd at least be better than Lita.

EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 I always liked Angle as a heel, he is so damn good at it. I just miss those "You Suck" chants too, they are golden. The chants never left even as a face the fans chanted "You Suck" at Angle.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Angle/Eddie will be the #2 Smackdown storyline, so it would be the #4-ish WM storyline.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Why couldnt they just change his music?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Angle/Eddie will be the #2 Smackdown storyline, so it would be the #4-ish WM storyline. Not necessarily. Angle/Rey was the number two SD! storyline heading into Summerslam.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 C'mon AS, that was placed in one of the most important spots on the card; it was their job to get the crowd alive. I see Chavo jerking Mania. Eddie/Angle would probably be 5th.
JJMc 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 I find Angle as a face is quite bland, so I fully support a heel turn. Also, I see a Team Angle reunion. And that can't be bad. Angle is just bland period if you ask me. TSM Jackoff: "No one asked you" Oh, THEY DID.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Eddie/Angle would probably be 5th. Third or fourth. Just like the Undetaker and Big Show in the second match last year. It's a way of getting a major star out there early for the fans. But of course, you can only do that with a bad feud. Enter Angle/Eddy
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Why couldnt they just change his music? That's what I've thought about his music to because of all the chants. Of course, it didn't help any when Angle, a face, on his very 1st night back encouraged the fans to chant "You Suck" at him. But, over all I think it pretty much had to do with the fact that Angle was a bland face and wasn't a strong face to get the fans to stop the chant.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 I think that spot would go to Foley - if he ever were to come back. Chavo vs. Rey Tag match Womens match Foley match Hoss match (US title??) Angle Guerrero Tag match Brock Match Hunter match
