SummerSlam is one of 3 DVDs in 2003 that were released during WWE's experimental "Let's not put extras on PPV DVD's" phase, which started with Vengeance. Extras have been put back starting with No Mercy (basic interviews, might have been a Heat match, and the Big Show / feces hose segment), Survivor Series (Noble vs Tajiri, Confidential segments), and Armageddon (No specifics announced).
