DMann2003 Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 The Euro title finals match is widely praised, but what is everyone's opinion of the rematch that took place on RAW the week after WrestleMania. It ends with Bret stopping the match and reforming the Hart Foundation, so I'd say with the wrestling (which goes about 10 minutes) plus the angle I'd give the whole moment ****.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 The post-match gets ***** from me. The match was around ***1/2 but building.
DMann2003 Posted January 13, 2004 Author Report Posted January 13, 2004 I was just curious as to what people thought, I guess most here don't have it or haven't seen it, it's the lesser of the two. It's on a 97 comp I've got, with the Euro title finals, Bret vs Sid in a steel cage plus Bret's post match tirade, The Michinoku 6 man that was on ECW TV before Barely Legal, Bret's post-WM 13 speech, Michaels/Austin vs Hart/Bulldog, various promos, a couple Rey Nitro matches, even some odd 70's wrestling stuck in the middle of it. I got it off eBay a couple years ago.
cawthon777 Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 So we're not talking the 1995 KOTR Qualifying Match? I thought the post-match was awesome. The bout itself was ok, I haven't seen it since it aired so I can't elaborate much.
Si82 Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 I thought the match was pretty good. A little below the level of the European Championship final but very good all the same. The angle after is just fantastic though.
Guest JMA Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 The post-match is actually one of my all-time mark-out moments.
Guest Stunt Granny Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 I hated it, made no sense. Owen hates Bret with a passion for the last 4 years for being in his shadow. Bret comes out and tells Owen he's his brother and he loves him and blah blah blah. Why didn't Bret just tell Owen he loved him in the first place to avoid all that shit that happend between those two?

Why didn't Bret just tell Owen he loved him in the first place to avoid all that shit that happend between those two? He tried. That was why he turned down Owen's challenge in the first place, which set up Harts-Quebecers at Royal Rumble 94. I don't remember Bret ever actually changing his mind though (the WMX match was ordered with the post-Rumble coin toss).
